Thread: supposed to buy 380 ammo, bought a glock 36 instead...

Anyone have any recommendations for this? Holsters, ammo, trigger jobs, magazines, etc?

I was planning on buying a 300 AAC Blackout AR, but I just dont feel comfortable spending almost a thousand dollars on a single gun just yet. Plus I don't want to have to buy a safe for it...

So there was 25% marked off of the sticker on used guns and there was a glock 36 there. Add to that I have a credit card that will pay me 100 dollars if I spend 500. I figure I got this gun, OTD for about 275 after all was said and done. Couldnt walk away...bought some speer gold dots for it and my 380 pocket pistol and called it a day.

I shot the 36...sweet gun. It is a better shooter than my Glock 19. I spent the whole afternoon shooting the 19 among other things. I shot 7 rounds through the glock 36 and I love the thing. Wish it had more rounds in the magazine, but 7's enough I think.

I know it's a cliche, but the "pop" of the 19 is just not enjoyable to me. After shooting the 45, the 9mm reminds me more of the 40, which I really do not enjoy shooting.

Too bad I can't shoot 45 super out of this thing, would make a great trail gun/backup hunting piece then...

I love my 36. It has a bad rep. After a 200 rounds it now runs like a champ. Don't ask me why, there are a lot of theories out there.

As for holsters are you looking for IWB or OWB?

For ammo I keep the mags loaded with Speer Gold Dot 230 grain JHP. For range/plinking what ever is cheapest.

I haven't seen any triggers for the 36 but that doesn't mean they arent out there. I don't change my triggers anyway.

Mags, well factory, there are no others.

should serve you well, I love my glock more and more each time i shoot it! as far as recomendations go

trigger would be scherer or glockworx 2.5 connector with the glockwork spring kit

holsters is really a pretty subjective matter, but for competition or occational carry the serpa is nice, safariland has some nice ones, don hume's are great and its hard to beat a fobus for the price. for EDC carry you'll want to check out crossbreed holsters for sure.

magazines is simple, only use glock factory and you'll never have a problem. they can be had for less than $20 shipped if you find a deal (less used) and you can buy them every day for $22 shipped, so it really doesnt cost much to have some quality mags.

ammo is whatever you want in my experience they will funstion with any brand, any bullet type and any weight.

Yeah I have a Serpa from my 19 that it fits so that's good. I picked up an uncle mikes iwb that was cheap and gets the job done.

I also ordered some +1 extensions 10% springs for it. I don't know why but having the 1911 capacity just makes sense for some reason...
