And that's why I stressed, "Right now." I love an R32, but ultimately there are cars I want more. None of them will carry drums, though.

I found a fairly decent LS1 swapped FD with 430whp for $15k, but not a clean original FD.
You can find solid FD's for about 15-18k in the U.S. Granted, they were only sold here for '93-'94 and don't have those bumpers or tail lights from the later models like the one pictured.

      $15k

For about $18k you could find ones sub 50K miles, not that it matters that much, the general rule of thumb with FD's is that you're almost better off buying one that's already been rebuilt as the 13B requires a bit of preventative maintenance which would've been already dealt with.

Late, 3rd Gen 4runner from somewhere not-rusty, spend the rest on mods.

Or the cleanest BJ70 I can find.

I'd do what I did: buy a really nice early 4th gen 4Runner for a screamin' deal, do a few minor functional mods, and keep the rest for gas money.

Wow I didn't realize MKV was 15k now.

      I'd get either:

      Pontiac GTO
      E30, and fix it up
      E38 and fix it up

Datsun 210 and 510, both highly modified and still have money left over.

Y U mad? That's the European equivalent of us drooling over a 3er or an E-class. Over there what we think of as status symbols are merely taxis.

Lately I have been testing "tip-in events". Just the tip-in. Just to see how it feels. Response time is typically on the order of 2-3 seconds. Sometimes the injection timing is a little off...

x2. I knew it had a rental/granny car status over there, but here it's rare and kinda looks good.
US cars are kinda exotics so they depreciate fast and that's why it would make so much sense.

Nothing comes even close, when talking about 5000eur cars here.
We don't get used bargains like you do

Yea and the other car could be a Boxster, instead of the Miata, but they are not cheap enough yet

Look at your signature, now back to mine, now back to yours, now back to mine. Sadly, yours isn't mine, but if you stopped using your old signature and changed it to this one, it could look like mine. Look down, back up, where are you? You're on a car forum, reading this signature.

Have you been on the Datsun 510 forums and see what they can do and the cars they built. One of my close friends has a very nicely modded and built 510 and the best part he built on a budget of less then 15K.

I really want a NB Miata with a big turbo, lots of chassis stiffening including roll cage, aftermarket suspension, this color and these wheels
