I love these things ... I know the price is slightly outrageous, but who the hell had this socked up for
the last 25 years? 487 Miles on a 1987 is just unreal. Plus, the damn thing LOOKS like it just
rolled off the assembly line. Ug, soooooo awesome.

at that price, they must be looking to restock on the tony montana-like piles of crack they're already smoking.

That thing has been on sale for YEARS at that price. If this is the first time you've seen it, wecome to the internet.
Easy like Sunday Morning.

This isn't just a GN. It's a GNX. With 487 miles.
Considering that, IMHO, the price isn't too far off. And if I had the money, I'd buy it, and be proud. However, I can see that I might be the only one here, lol.

Same here. This is just one of those unicorn cars ... the one's you hear about, but few will ever have the chance to drive. Similar to the Hemi Cuda, this car just embodies sheer bliss in styling, performance, and just, simply, reputation. If I had $100k, I'd have this car, simply put.

I don't really understand that either. I could imagine owning one and only driving it a couple thousand miles a year because it's a collector vehicle and I wouldn't want to expose risk to it for any longer than I could, but man, less than 500 miles over 25 years ... This car needs to be owned by someone that would love her.

I can think of much better things to invest in other than cars that could very well be a bust in appreciating, that very few will be willing to buy, be essentially undriveable without ruining the value, and need thousands of dollars to bring it up to driveable condition if you do want to drive it.

See, that would make sense, except the car was originally $30,000 in 1987 and over 25 years, appreciated to an asking price of $100k ... so, a 4.9% annualized return rate over 25 years. Whereas most portfolios, with a modest investment range, should be able to do better than that and be 7-8% over that same time period.
But, hey, what do I know, I'll never have a chance to own one of these ...![]()

It was the very last of the rear drive family vehicles from GM. Many enthusiasts knew it, and held on to them... without driving them.
This is what they went to...
Even more rare than the Grand National or GNX were the Regal T-Type Turbo Limiteds. There were less than 200 of them and had the full velour interior and 6 person seating with the entire drivetrain and suspension from the GN.
This is one of them...
My dad and brother had five Turbo-6 cars combined. I grew up riding in them. I learned to drive in one. I drove one to Homecoming in high school. Even got a bit of action in one.
And... I'm addicted to turbos.
Before I was 16, I thought all cars could powerbrake and do big smokey burnouts.![]()

When I was at Barrett-Jackson 2 years ago one went for $86,000 and it had 4,000 miles on it.

I love how even on such a pristine example they find it necessary to slap their hokey dealer decal on the rear

This car has been on eBay plenty of times, it floats around every once in a while.
