All I can say is wow, Volvo, the Chinese have done something to do you great. The back end isn't too desirable, but the 240 hp turbo engine off sets that. If they keep with the retired S40, AWD might not be too far off.

I think my cross shopping just started. Geneva will be the A3 and V40 releases! Hopefully the 3-door won't be the only A3 released, is this confirmed?

That's rather flimsy logic. Just because a competitive Volvo offering is out there with absolutely no assurance of a N.A. release, Audi will spend the resources to certify a 5DR configuration. The V40 wasn't a volume product in the states in the past either. I guess we are all free to believe what we wish but I think Audi's disclosure on what will be offered is better than one person's wishful thinking.
