Any guesses on power? Since Lamborghini is pretty much king with the Aventador right now at 700 I bet this thing will have close to 800.

It said somewhere up near 850 in the article, since the FXX Evolution was 845 hp

    This is crazy talk.

So this is the F599 successor, and it'll be ~850hp.

So that'll make it the most powerful Ferrari ever for what, a year? The Enzo successor will, naturally, be more powerful still, and it's near on the horizon from what everyone's saying. Didn't some thread yesterday say 920hp including KERS?

I wonder if the 850hp or whatever in the 599 includes KERS. That's sort of cheating IMO, given that it's only available for a limited time and then has to recharge.

I can't believe we've reached the point where a stock, production, street legal Ferrari has a more powerful engine than the Formula 1 car of the same year. It's a good time to be a car enthusiast.

Formula 1 is restricted, though... if they had 12 cylinders and more displacement to work with... it wouldn't even be close.

F1 car would still be faster around a track, though. By a large margin.

I'm going to say 700-750hp max. They need to leave something in reserve for updates . . .

    I've heard 6.3 V12 with 710 hp and a 7 speed dual clutch gearbox.

Ferrari has rarely been a leader in the horsepower wars and this car won't be any different...my guess is that it'll have under 700hp.

    Agreed

Ferrari usually understands that power figures mean nothing unless you can actually use it. Lets hope it stays that way

850 hp? No way. More like between 700-750. The Enzo replacement though I can see closing in on 800 hp. What Ferrari probably meant to state in the teaser is that it's the "Most powerful road-legal Ferrari ever". But of course that doesn't sound as cool.

"The rear-wheel-drive Ferrari F620 GT will supposedly receive the 6.3-liter V12 engine with output prancing at 740 HP and mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

The new stallion's expected to go from 0 to 62 MPH in three seconds flat and double that in just 8.5 seconds.

That'd be four tenths of a second faster than the 700 HP Lamborghini Aventador."-Jalopnik

It would be great looking if it was a Toyota, but as a Ferrari it's nothing but status quo.
