completely serious. Holy **** built and beautiful. I have seen the later stages of this car since I've been lurking. The finished product is def one of a kind. Very nice sir, I couldn't fathom a mk4 build looking much cleaner.

damn I remember this car when it was black awhile back...
It sure has gone a long way... For the better of course!
Love it!
#76
Car is gorgeous, but I must ask. How loud is the damn road noise with absolutely no interior?
#77
Thanks Matt, Ive definetly been around here for a good bit of time, including "Elvir" banned.lol
Believe it or not, but I am seriously conteplating CAE shifter, but trying to get the Caddy to where i want it to be, is taking some of my funds away. possibly in future.
There are some people, but not too many that are willing to go this far.
Thanks man, I know yellow headlights are hit or miss with most people, but for some reason, i just love the yellow look, which is why i had them for the longest time.
Funniest quote I read in a long time. haha
Hope not,
Keeping interior clean is not that bad, just gotta make sure to have something underneat the feets to throw out garbage i put in.
Headlights are staying, however, the vents have no room to physically fit, due to intercooler.
Hvala stari,
I have not weighted the car yet. I always wanted to pull in a weight station off highway, but never got around to it. I still got some weight reduction i want to do first.
Thanks, Autoglo did an amazing job. I was impressed with their work inside and out.
Believe it or not, its not that bad, on my way to WFC gtg, which was a 4 hour drive i was quite fine. Its a little loud but not annoying loud.
Appreciate it,
Of course, with all the money dropped into the car, im not getting rid of it now..lol. Ill be here for a while.
Thanks, i think the yellow actually looks even better on the white than it did black.
I have not found a right solution for the sun roof. You are right, it weighs a ton, but, knowing how much work went into the car, i do not want to just patch it up, i want it to look great and professional. So if anybody has a solution, im all ears. I would love to drop that top weight.
I appreciate the kind words. As i mentioned before, there are a few people that are still around as long as i have been and know the transformations that took place. As far as the car is concerned, its a keeper. Im not one of those throwaway and move on kind of guys, so this will be in the family for a long time.
thanks buddy, i cant wait for yours either.
thats what im shooting for, thanks buddy.
Yea, its no camry but it will move.
I thoughts to too.
Its not as bad as people may think.
Thanks for all the kind words everybody

clean is an understatement
that being said, i love the exterior and bay but not a fan of a completely gutted interior.

Yea all gutted look may not be for everybody, but deciding on the theme of the car, all had to go.
Thanks bud
haha, I was conteplating painting my caddy same white, but i dont think i can handle 3 white cars in family.
That is true. My brother in law, did that to his old car. removed the old roof and put in the new one. but i just dont want to go that lenght. I wish there was a properly made aftermarket cover out of aluminum or CF, that fits well.

Love the car, but I think it would be that much better if it had oem hid's.
I also dislike the fact that the whole interior is gutted, yet you still have the sunroom assembly in the car. I would say to put a lexan delete in there so it still has the sunroof look, but without the actual assembly in the car.
But props for a killer build.![]()

i remember your threads from around five years ago when I had my first mk4. wasn't it black then? regardless, looks amazing.

more like <40lbs id say. But I still took mine out.
Elvir, I just found this thread with the pictures. I want to congratulate you, it has turned out great and It gives me motivation to complete the inside of mine and get it painted. the white interior throughout was def the way to go. The finished product is fantastic and there is something about the car now that really looks complete (even tho it is missing so much) I really like the .:R seats in the bare interior. it gives them a much more aggressive look.
If our cars are ever in the same place sometime. we have to have a small shootThe style will be very similar.
great job![]()

I take your word for it, although I've seen many people's posts saying that all the parts together weigh 70 lbs, but you know everything on the net is true.
What did you replace yours with? Did you add any roof support to compensate for the missing bracketry?
Get on the LOUD pedal!

absolutely sweet man... shaved everything![]()

The glass, its "track", the motor, cover, hardware, and wiring, all together are prob right around 40. If I had a scale I would check, but its my rough estimate. I'm a weakling and I can lift it with one hand :p
got mine delete from ligtherfaster.com. see pics near bottom of page HERE
It was my understanding that since the car has a sunroof that the roof is designed differently. there is some structure there under the main roof panel. But Iv never looked at a roof of a non-sunroof car. Did I notice a difference in body rigidity since taking it out? no... but I also have a a roll bar like Elvir, so I that prob takes some stress off the roof area.
