completely serious. Holy **** built and beautiful. I have seen the later stages of this car since I've been lurking. The finished product is def one of a kind. Very nice sir, I couldn't fathom a mk4 build looking much cleaner.

Car is gorgeous, but I must ask. How loud is the damn road noise with absolutely no interior?

Thanks man, I know yellow headlights are hit or miss with most people, but for some reason, i just love the yellow look, which is why i had them for the longest time.

Why is the sunroof still in? That whole assembly weighs around 70lbs, and its up high.
I have not found a right solution for the sun roof. You are right, it weighs a ton, but, knowing how much work went into the car, i do not want to just patch it up, i want it to look great and professional. So if anybody has a solution, im all ears. I would love to drop that top weight.

I appreciate the kind words. As i mentioned before, there are a few people that are still around as long as i have been and know the transformations that took place. As far as the car is concerned, its a keeper. Im not one of those throwaway and move on kind of guys, so this will be in the family for a long time.

The only true way would be to salvage a whole roof from a non sunroof car and replace the current one. I'm sure a patch section and supports could be cut from an existing non sunroof vehicle, but I doubt that the support structures would match up.

That is true. My brother in law, did that to his old car. removed the old roof and put in the new one. but i just dont want to go that lenght. I wish there was a properly made aftermarket cover out of aluminum or CF, that fits well.

Love the car, but I think it would be that much better if it had oem hid's.

I also dislike the fact that the whole interior is gutted, yet you still have the sunroom assembly in the car. I would say to put a lexan delete in there so it still has the sunroof look, but without the actual assembly in the car.

But props for a killer build.

Elvir, I just found this thread with the pictures. I want to congratulate you, it has turned out great and It gives me motivation to complete the inside of mine and get it painted. the white interior throughout was def the way to go. The finished product is fantastic and there is something about the car now that really looks complete (even tho it is missing so much) I really like the .:R seats in the bare interior. it gives them a much more aggressive look.

If our cars are ever in the same place sometime. we have to have a small shoot The style will be very similar.

    great job

I take your word for it, although I've seen many people's posts saying that all the parts together weigh 70 lbs, but you know everything on the net is true.

What did you replace yours with? Did you add any roof support to compensate for the missing bracketry?

The glass, its "track", the motor, cover, hardware, and wiring, all together are prob right around 40. If I had a scale I would check, but its my rough estimate. I'm a weakling and I can lift it with one hand :p

got mine delete from ligtherfaster.com. see pics near bottom of page HERE

It was my understanding that since the car has a sunroof that the roof is designed differently. there is some structure there under the main roof panel. But Iv never looked at a roof of a non-sunroof car. Did I notice a difference in body rigidity since taking it out? no... but I also have a a roll bar like Elvir, so I that prob takes some stress off the roof area.
