Got everything ordered and waiting for it to get here along with a powder coated replacement valve cover so I can replace the leaky gasket all at once. Chris, how's your schedule? I'm interested in deleting some of these vac lines, but have no idea about what plugs/caps to get and where...![]()

I'm definitely going to do this but if I change my plugs to NGK BKR6E's (because I am running a non-chipped stock AWP), do I gap to the stock 0.032 or does it change because the coil packs are running hotter?

Upgraded to these coils earlier this week, not much in the way of immediately noticeable results.
Also just filled up with gas, so we shall see what this does to increase fuel efficiency at all.
Went to .040" gap BKR7E's, might go to .042", any thoughts?
I don't know if this makes a difference, but I had been running the new 1.8T coilpacks from the recall, which I had for over a year with absolutely no problems, so that might mitigate any realized gains from this upgrade. Not sure.
I wrestled with the idea of ordering ECS hold-downs or the IE adapters, but I haven't had any problems with popping packs, so still running them with their ~1" gap from the valve cover.

Does this require the icm kit for awp? Or is it the same connector?

I ordered mine two days ago from INA and they said to keep the gap at .034. Anyone think it should be at .04 instead

Here's a wire heat shield idea... I used the heat wrap that was on the O2 sensor, when I switched to the Eurojet downpipe I didnt need it. It fits pretty nice on the coil wiring!
I know I don't have the 2.0 coils, but you still have to respect the cleaness:

Not knowing much about the 2.0t i have a possibly silly question..
Are the 2.0t coils any more reliable than the 1.8t ones?
also, bump for what looks like a great mod!

The wiring harness was a PITA but totally worth it. I run.40 on bkr7es and haven't looked back. A lot of work for a small mod but worth it.
