So LBR is doing it again, with our first annual bombTHErunway . Join us as we head out from Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Cincinnati and Akron and make our way to Holand, MI for the first annual eurohangar. Come on out and throw some support behind this new show, and help build the scene here in the Midwest.

(full rally details will be available soon)

Western Leg will be leaving Minneapolis on Friday in the late afternoon (this way folks don't need to take a day off work) and cruising down to MKE for the night. Then on Saturday morning heading out nice and early and meeting up with the Chicago guys. This, will split the drive almost exactly in half, with MKE being about 6 hours from Minneapolis, which should be nice. However, it will require everybody arranging accommodations for the night in MKE. I'll be working on figuring out the best possible place/location to stay and will then try and negotiate some room rates.

Then, Saturday morning it's up and at 'em bright and early. On the road by 4:00am to meet up with the Chicago leg sometime around 6am and we'd all be in Holland by about 9:30ish. Once we get near the Indiana/Michigan border we'll be meeting up with the two Ohio legs and hopefully some Indiana folks too.

Minneapolis to MKE is roughly 6 hours, MKE to the Chicago meetup point is roughly 2 hours, and Chicago to Holland is another 2.5 hours.

Akron and Cincinnati Legs soon to come.

Details will be posted soon. Sorry guys, had a TON of other work to do and now I'm actually sick, so have been even more useless then normal, for the last couple days. Hoping to have everything wrapped up by early next week.

There will be three legs of this rally. One kicking off in Minneapolis, one in Cincinnati, and one in Akron. All three legs will be meeting up in South Bend, IN early the morning of the show and finishing the drive up to Holland together. I know that Scott and the OME2 crew are working on hotel and possible camping arrangements now, so as soon as that info becomes available I'll include it with the rally info at longballrally.com.

    Stay tuned.

Kieran, you're never useless. Everyone needs a break, can't wear yourself too thin. So enjoy this free sick time and come back 100%

Since you mention that there is a meetup in south bend in the early morning, I am assuming the caravan will be coming thru Chicago. So will there be a spot to join the caravan in Chicago? Or do we just have to drive to south bend to meet up with everyone else??

The Western Leg will be making their way from Minneapolis to Milwaukee on Friday and then early Saturday morning, they'll be making their way south, and around Chicago. The Chicago meetup for the rally will be the South Holland Oasis on I294. Not sure of time just yet, still working out those details. The South Bend meetup point will be where the three legs come together, and from there we'll be making our way North, as one big group, into Holland.

holy crap, my arse is gonna have to get up super freakin early. I only live about an hour from mke so I am gonna sleep in my bed and my motorcycle shall stay the night in my garage.

I hope the front fairing on my bike is big enough for the cruise decal.

There may indeed be some folks from Indy going. In fact, I hope there's a good group of Indy folks rollin out. You can roll up with the Cincinnati Leg of the rally though. They'll be shooting straight up I74 past Indy, so you can meet up with them as they make their way past.

The hotel for the Minneapolis folks that are heading out on Friday evening will be the La Quinta Inn Milwaukee Airport/Oak Creek at 7141 S 13th St Oak Creek, WI, 53154, for the hotel. It got some really good reviews and it's only $79 for a room with two double beds through www.hotels.com. Figure two guys could split a room and that's only $40 a piece plus taxes for the night. Not bad.

Keep an eye on www.longballrally.com for full details on the rest of the routes & times etc.

OK folks, here the question to you. Would you rather get to Holland on Friday so we can hang out and party Friday night and then leisurely make our way over to the show on Saturday, or would you prefer to roll into town on Saturday morning and head straight to the show. If we roll in on Friday it means an extra night in the hotel, but also means that there's time to get your cars washed and will make Saturday morning more relaxed.

Thoughts? We need your input ASAP!!!

I think rolling in Friday night is better. A night to relax, have some fun and time to wash our cars.

Where've you been? We've been talking about it for months.

And you're correct, it's going to be a killer time. Come on, a car show at an airport? How could that not be cool?

Hey saw that you guys decided to have the rally the day Friday before the show and that there will be a meeting point on Saturday before the show for those who can't make the rally on Friday.

That's an awesome idea! would it be possible to to that meeting place and time up in this thread for stragglers like myself? it would be greatly appreciated/

I want to make sure that you are cool with a motorcycle rollin' with the rally. I have had issues with my local group saying it is a "safety hazard". I so can't wait for this one. I'm hoping they will be allowing "hot laps" down the runway

Everybody is welcome regardless of what they're driving/riding, as long as you're responsible and not actin the fool. I also don't think you'll be the only bike, I think tattoo might be bringing his bike too.

No hot laps down the runway!

    bombTHErunway - The Second Wave...

If folks can't roll out with the first wave on Friday, there will be a second, Western Wave leaving on Saturday morning that you could meet up with. When registering just make sure to let us know at checkout if you'll be going Friday or Saturday. Meetup point will be the same Chicago spot as Friday, the South Holland Oasis on I294 at 5:30am.
