I think I'm becoming an automotive hypochondriac ever since I started owning this car...I was sitting at a light the other day and all of sudden I heard a faint sound coming from what seemed to be the passenger side rear of the car. It sounded like a ticking clock or a heart beat...it was some what faint, but still noticiable. It is intermittent though and has no particulars when it happens and seems to go away when I begin to drive off...anyone have any ideas? Fuel pump? Gremlins?

built in security checks, there is one close to the fuel tank, it typically clunks a few times at the first red light i hit. I believe it is doing a pressure test on some lines to ensure no leaks. don't trip.

I heard its the gas tank equalizing itself. Due to the fact that the gas tank is split into two parts, there is a pump that pumps gas to the other side of the tank.

ok, well either reason seems to make more sense then gremlins ...I figured it had to do with the fuel system/pump(s) some how...thanks guys. This is probably the most technologically advanced car(from the factory) I've ever owned, I seem to keep learning new things about it everyday almost lol
