Hello Dom!
I've been waiting for this new build thread to appear. I cannot wait to see those seats in your car (not quite as excited as you are I would assume). If ever you or Devin need anything else from SoCal, please don't hesitate to ask.
One of these days I will plan a trip to attend an EastCoast event. I'll let you guys know when that is, it definitely won't be this year; I just dumped $5.2k into Kate this month (Hint: non motor related), I'll make a worthy thread when the time comes.
Anyway...
I didn't see any talk about a VR6 swap in that first post.![]()

Please pass along the knowledge and wisdom of instruction on that mk6 steering wheel install.![]()

there is a thread that discusses it. for both mkv and mkvi airbag installs. Splines should match up fine, like stock. and wiring wise, you just need to swap connectors. Ideally the proper way to ensure proper deployment in the unfortunate event of a crash. gotta keep my dom's safe, so i will be reading int this more. watch this thread for updates.
Why no love for the wagon?!?!?!?! WTF. nobody said anything about it showing up stock..... maybe we'll tow the gti with it. If vortex wants to chip in for a hidden hitch
I ll take care of the trailer. the only reason the gti doesn't come along is because domo is a sleeping beauty. and cant stay awake. I would work through the nights to make sure the gti is ready
you dom
Kiddie. can you please bring numerous corgis to sowo? I want the wagon to be filled with them. Circus stylez kthnx.
stay tuned for moreof the progress.

I came here, in hopes that you or anyone in this topic knew of Dom Mazzetti.
Unfortunately that's a no.![]()

OMG, Kiddie has corgi's? I am a HUGE corgi fan. Unfortunately, living in an apartment prohibit me from obtaining a dozen or so. Wish I could make it to SOWO in my OEM 5LUT.
Dom, car needs to get put back together.

is the fuse box still above your battery? looking interesting. I like your style sir!
you've got a build thread for it? wouldn't mind taking a gander.

Drew! Haha thank you very much once again for all of your help as it wouldn't have been possible without you. Now get out here to Chicago so we can show you around and enjoy a few showsas far a motor swap goes...I seem to not be able to hear the end of it
I
my current setup and with ending school in the next couple of months, these changes will have to suffice for the time being as some expenses are being allocated elsewhere. Im very excited to see Kate this summer as it sounds like you have a few new tricks up your sleeve as well
Hello there Mr. Panda
Gah, unfortuantely. This was one of the lighter winters, especially compared to last years but the picture of the wagon was taken on a day that we did get a few inches
E.Shell! See you at sowo indeed. You may or may not find your camera missing at some point of the trip only to find it magically reappear later on in the weekend with countless hours of dom shenanigans on it...just saying
Tell me about it! As soon as the warmer weather begins to approach a bit closer I will do my best to start working on getting back on the road. As for corgis...you only live once and it sounds to me like you are in dire need of breaking some of the living establishment rules. Corgis>apt...youll just end up being that homeless person with 12 dogs but happy as a clam hahahaWorth it!
Fixed for you
As for a "build" thread, its not something I believe in unless the car is undergoing an extreme transformation where as in my case, it was only the eliminating and hiding of a few things here and there. The work was done last winter by the one and only DBVeeDBand this would be the thread to accompany it: http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...me-Summer-2011
*Again, thank you all for the kind and encouraging words in this thread!![]()
