Somewhere in the middle I reckon...
That regulator, I've been told, could be the issue with the fuel guage..

I have to take my dash cluster out and pray I didn't smoke all those circuits wh en I smoked my regulator - I have no fuel or temp guage..

amazingly solid...magnet sticks everywhere. TONS of crap primer on though, she definitely wasn't nowhere near ready for paint.

Candy white. Short, sweet, simple, cheap. This one will be autocrossed, to the dragon, cincy, etc...a true daily. Not even jam'ming it. Black jams, bay, etc...Keeping the MS'd 16v *for now* and we'll see how it works out. That's the plan for now, anyway

Glad you've decided on a color for this mk1, it deserves a new coat of paint

Looking forward to seeing this Scirocco again, at a future Cincy

I know it'll be gone eventually, but I want to drive it awhile first. Learn all its quirks, advantages, disadvantages, weak points, whatever...way too much focus on rocco #1 at this point to even think about an engine swap here anytime soon.

REALLY wanted bodywork done and paint on this in time for cincy...just made a to-do list pre-sowo on rocco1, and...well...****. wtb time. and multiplicity. yeah, yeah, that'll do it. just need more me.

reality says I'll be at cincy in a 2013 CC unless I can hitch a ride with someone else *cough*ottodanmaypetebeesomeoneelseinncwitharocco* cough*

You can ride with me to Cincy...but we might have to take the E30 if that's the case cuz neither you or my buddy Dave - who might be coming along - won't want to ride in the back of the Rocco for 10 hours

If Dave bails then its a Tater road trip...

I'll have an open passenger seat, at least that way you can arrive in a Scirocco.

man...this thing is just primer over paint over primer over paint, and wasn't none of it done right.

one more block, one more prime, and she should be ready for some color.

man. after much, much, much work...she is white. photographic evidence would be awesome, I know. I promise to provide some. later don't have any yet. I will say though, I freakin LOVE candy white. and now my RA's look like doo doo on there.

Got several projects in the works this week...at some point I fully plan on pulling her out of the paint booth and sanding/buffing/installing windows....and dare I say it, DRIVING.

oh yeah, I did drill out the bumper shocks and collapsed them today. that took a whole 5 minutes. no pic of that either

If? *IF*? Hell yeah! This thing will be road worthy this week!

    I hope...

Ironing out details, but she's out of the booth and untaped. Lots of details being worked out and what the real final product is gonna look like, but I'm stoked.

Handprint in fresh jam paint, doh!

Engine bay before, couldn't remember if I had a pic:

    Random, dunno...was drinking.

    More engine bay

That car deserved what you have done; it is a clean car that was painted waaay too many times. I'm happy to see this work finally happen to a well deserving car.

thanks...I'm really enjoying it, such a nice history behind it and all.

didn't get near as much done as I wanted this weekend. got about 4 hours in saturday, then went out and drank so much that my ass didn't leave the couch today. still lots of detail work to do, and still gotta iron out some cosmetic details. and of course, spend more money. but, if I actually hook all the lights and the battery back up, I should be able to drive her again
