I believe this answers the thread of "How long the first used R is for sale" thread. This doesn't help my second thoughts i've been having recently. GLWS.

Paul,
You have probably made up your mind, by now --- but did you consider trading/changing seats from the Golf or Jetta wagen?

I think someone posted a few weeks ago when we would see the first one for sale on here....Looks to me like we have a winner....![]()

This is something I go through every 4 to 6 months - small car (Golf) vs more spacious car (A4 Avant, A6, RR Evoque, etc.).
The minute I stop the back-and-forth is when I buy. Personally I don't find the A4 sufficiently spacious, especially in the driver's compartment. The Evoque is fantastic and the A6 is awesome. But they don't have the small-car maneuverability.
Sorry you bought and changed your mind. Good luck to you.

Wow, local to me and everything. If this thing was red I'd strongly consider it.

Its good that you didn't swap the bumpers and stealth her up first.

If I had the money or need for a second Golf (or a place to put it), I'd consider a trip to Cinci. Instead, I'll keep driving my wookiee.GLWS and free bump for you.
I have installed most of the popular bolt-on mods for a 2008 R32, minus suspension work. I know a lot about electronics and car audio, and have experience with VCDS ("vagcom"). I'm a radar/lidar countermeasure enthusiast. I like track days, autocross, and US Highway 129. I love aural pleasure.
