I like this a lot (production photos).

Most importantly, it's amazing to me that Hyundai and Kia are now both fielding RWD, V8-powered, 5-Series competitors, while Cadillac is a few years away from a proper mid-sizer. Shame on Lincoln and Buick, too.

I like it. Too many people on this forum bitch about cars looking like other cars, who cares? If this car looks good and cost less I would buy it over the competitors. Guess what, that's how the average Joe thinks.

Why you wouldn’t (buy an Optima SX):

Because you have your eyes on the Frigidaire Limited Edition Camry that you saw last weekend at the neighborhood Autoplex

    So do these 2.

Unlike the LS460, the K9 doesn't really have the Hofmeister kink

And this is after Lexus virtually cloned the S Class w/ the LS430.

And as Schreyer, himself, had stated, the front of the K9 gets its inspiration from the Quattroporte, having a similar protruding grill/nose which has become popular these days.

Volvo has been doing it as well w/ their recent designs.

i think Kia's premium offerings should have their own design language (stop overusing the tiger nose and ridiculous cartoony headlights) similar to Hyundai's premium offerings although the new Genesis coupe now has the gaping maw and hexagonal grill.

What are you guys complaining about ? 99% of those are going to be sold to airport limo companies. They are a modern day Lincoln Town Car.

Ie: the non enthusiast that will buy this car.

My first look at the video and in two seconds BMW came to mind, so I hold up a picture of the front end and ask my 8 year old what it looked like and he shrugged and said "a BMW". Let's face it, it's an extremely derivative design. An attractive one, but derivative nonetheless.

Btw, what kind of salary does Hyundai pay you?

Not bad. But can the fender vent fad PLEASE end? Ugh.

Also--the Eqqus styling is being echoed in the new Azera.

not too excited about this. i think it looks clean overall, but the overall proportion is little too bmw IMO. i expected more maserati than bmw, but i guess it's more toward bmw. hope the vertical grill don't make it over here.

Not bad looking, but if you slap the twin kidney grille on there and change the badge, it could easily pass for a BMW. Anyone disputing this is blind.

Well, considering that Korea and the US are the 2 biggest markets - you'd be wrong.

Anyway, the KDM K9 will not be available w/ th Tau V8 (at least for now) and instead have 2 V6 powerplants.
