http://www.caranddriver.com/comparis...en-golf-page-3. A rabbit ran a 15.1 @ at 91 with intake/exhaust. On a positive note about the 2.5 it is one of vw's most reliable and provides a sound that is extremely unique and just damn sexy sounding. The torque curve is also incredible for a small na engine. I had a mk6 gti owner comment how his car will never sound nearly as good as mine lol and his jaw dropped when he heard it. And yes a na 2.5 will never be fast but with a turbo and just 9psi its good for 250whp. JUST 9psi.

No, 2.5 with sri (intake manifold) is good for 200whp. If you look over the 2.5 forums these do pull on stock gti's. But 600 bucks in a gti and its gone again.

sorry theres so many haters Derek. Im not a fan of the wot box but your free to do what you want to your car. This is why I mostly keep my posts to the 2.5 engine section. I post here at the mk6 section for just general things about the mk6 like rims, body parts, interior and all that stuff but when you mention about mods on a 2.5 people hate and most are gti owners.

there is a lot wrong with that picture.
chipped tdi's are not anything special with a tune. They run 16's. chipped you will do 15's.

ill do that next time. it was my first post so i wasn't sure where to put it other than mk6. i really like it for the fact that it specifically says less wear on the transmission. i've been driving stick shifts for 5 years but i've been having trouble with this one. i havn't missed a single shift all week and i've raced it a few times to and from work. and people can call me a ricer but i like the backfire sound of the 2 step.

    First two are na

    c2 turbo at 9-10psi

2.5 motor out of a rabbit then built and turbo and swapped into an mk3 with AWD

the intake doesn't really take effect until 5k vs the stock powerband of around 4. once the rpm is raised that alone will help big time. i'm waiting til someone close to me can do it. don't really have the time to drive to pensylvania or kentucky or where ever c2 or um are. i may do it at sowo if theres a stand doing the mk6s

yeah a 15.6 with a professional driver. A chubby teenager in the "mini-mobile" will probably never make out of the 17's

ehh 17's if your driving a manual for the first time maybe. Theres a 1/4 mile thread for the 2.5L and I have not seen one run that was in the 17's and there is like over 20 people on this list some first timers on a track. Most were mid to upper 15's some low 16's.
