wanted: Black 16V Scirocco in NC

I am currently looking for a car and one of my top choices is a black 16V Scirocco. Yes it absolutely has to be a black one! Needs to be rust free and fairly clean. Would need to be running or very close to it. Also must be within reasonable driving distance (5 hours more or less??) of Charlotte, NC. Maybe a little farther for the right car. The closer to stock, the more I'll like it. Tasteful mods ok.

LOL! Too funny, but I'm looking for the exact same thing. Clean, rust-free, black 16v car, preferably with a sunroof and some euro bits. Just can't kick the 'rocco habit

Cool. Luckily for you I'm now going this weekend to look at a Karmann Ghia. If I get it, I'll pass any info on as well. That would definitely postpone my Scirocco search for a while.

Looking for the same thing, but as you said must be black 16v

If interested I'd consider trading my 65 Beetle (Good daily driver w/1776 engine, under 10k miles on engine) or my 95 Cabrio also good daily driver with a 99 Jetta low miles 2.0 ABA (New CV's and new struts all around)

Scirocco would have to be an awesome good running car to get my Beetle or Cabrio away though.

About to pull bug off the market, due to general aggravation from people low balling or offering lame trades.

The bug is a solid daily driver, I don't want your project you started 10 years ago and lost interest all the pieces too.....

If you have a good running 16v Scirocco and want to swap for a good running air cooled hit me up.

Otherwise I'll just continue to enjoy my bug

there's a black Mk2 Scirocco @ Woodfin's Pick a Part is an '85
and a black '71 Karmann Ghia on W. Clay St. that has been sitting since 1999 here in the Dirty 'Ol River City of Richmond ,Va.....both are n/r and will need work though..
