Thread: Help! Jetta MKV OEM BI-XENON ADJUSTING/LEVELING

    1. 02-28-2012 08:55 PM #1
Hi all! As the title says im having issues with my car. My car comes with the OEM projector bi-xenon headlights. I had the drivers side headlight replacad because one of the tabs broke. Ever since they replaced the headlight the car doesn't seem to illuminate properly. It's hard to explain, when I put my car around 20ft infront of the wall the light lines are properly. However when it's really dark you can see that all the light is concentrated right infront of the car(like it was the foglight on instead). The low beam seems to be pointing way to the floor and have a huge bright circle on the drivers side and on the passenger side is straight.
I tried adjusting it manually, but all it does is higher the headlight union lines and the circle in the floor keeps appearing streched.
Does anyone know how I could fix this?
      Any help will be appreciated!

yeah that's messed up - sorry i only know of the hid leveler. only other thing i could think of is maybe unplug the light from the harness, manually adjust it and then plug it back in, and see if it will correct itself. Seems like a sensor issue somewhere though.

is the projector lens pointing down? or is it casting shadows?

usually the bulb being upside down will cast strange shadows on the ground from the return wire being in the beam.

If you do pull the bulb just make sure it's installed with the return wire (brown/white/blue) wire facing down in the projector.

The projectors are kinda poiting down because. But there are also shadows.. I noticed theres a big O shadowed to the wall! imma look at this tomorrow. I need to pull out the bumper in order to reach to the bulb right? There isnt enough space to take out the bulb right?
