the jetta is my 4th vw. most recently was the shadow blue rabbit most may remember, enjoy the pictures or videos. all the pictures should be clickable for high rez. i'll let the pictures do the talking. updates as they happen!!

how i came to get the jetta is pretty clear.

the day i got her. CPO for $18,000. 28,500 miles. first week of december.

i brought to the dealer my euro switch, rcd510 (sat antenna on dash), and dash cubby. so i could make the 4 hour drive home with sirius.

    made color matched side markers

    removed pinstripe

wired up the roof sat antenna to work with the rcd510, and chipped with fully loaded APR we are only 20 days in at this point.

    foglight retrofit, and amber city's

blindspot mirrors. spotted this in FL! lol

bsh true seal, and plasti dipped the coolant tank, dip stick, and washer filler, also at this point i removed the under hood insulation

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ec32kl3TpzI

LED's installed on monday but i'm still having some trouble coding them fully. any help would be appreciated

    http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...1#post76158045

already had a waterpump die on me, but was fixed and then the dealer didnt instal it correctly so it blew again on the drive home. that pretty much sums up where i'm at in the 4 months and 5,000 miles i have had her. avg 24.75 mpg.

Loved your rabbit, can't wait to see where the Jetta goes.
If you are heading to SoWo, you should meet up with the group of us heading out. I know a few guys out of Lakeland are meeting us in Gainesville Friday morning if you want to join.

i'm still trying to figure out these led tails, and dealing with the seller. but on another note i've had leaving home set up for a while now, but only recently got the time delay set up that i wanted. i've also had coming home selected for the same amount of time, but only yesterday did it start working! tried the headlight switch in every position when i originally set it up so idk whats going on. i'm going to try to get these tails to atleast work in passat mode or else i'm gonna be even more pissed that i got sold cheap LED's.

Sorry to hear about your rabbit, I liked the look of it

I have a couple questions for you... 1. have you/are you willing to sell your old taillights? I have the brighter red, but love the darker sets

    2. I have an 07 wolfsburg and I was wondering if I can do the remote windows down? If so, how?!

    Thanks for your help!

    ^^this. Get a new set.

And for the window remote: find someone with a Vag-Com. It's a check box in the comfort section of the software.

i ended up putting the stock tails back on, should be getting my refund back once the led's are delivered back.

also in the news is i got a vag-com micro-can to try to get the led's tails working but no dice. dont plan on keeping it very long.

so today did some data logging and got some bad news, looks like i'm getting missfires all over the place in stock and chipped, there was problems with the throttle body closing, so did a TBA and that didnt fix it, although the TB is opening all the way in stock mode although idk if the results i got IS what it should read (such as going down to 98% and not staying at 100% the whole run. there is no question its running much worse in chipped mode than stock mode, thankfully it is still under warrenty, but its going to be tough to convince the dealer that its giving miss fires even though it doesn't store them or throw a CEL. its not really worth it to me to move coilpacks around to see if its the coils. so tomorrow going to put the stock intake back on and lock it into stock mode, appointment monday at the dealer.

3 seperate runs paused between them but didn't seperate, chipped

    one regular run, chipped

    stock mode.

i also logged just missfires for each cylinder and every cylinder was throwing multiple missfires before the vagcom got to the end of how long it wanted to remember (minute or seconds) before it cleared to 0 and continued, as seen above where it says total missfire counter and would go back to zero even during the same pull. hopefully the dealer doesn't do the whole no CEL no problem deal.

also got my refund back from the LED's.

apparently my a/c was over charged at 1.7lbs. and it was suposed to be at 1.2?
the said my trunk isn't suposed to fling open.

they could not find the rattle, or replicate the missfires, so i went over to the dealer to go for a ride with the tech.

(wireless dealer vagcom tool is soooo cool BTW, ross tech hurry up) was able to get the missfires to show up at a very slight rate, also showed him my logs, and the rattle during the shake down.

they are keeping the car over night and they gave me a mk6 golf loaner.
