Really? I didn't know that. So before that a wolfsburg looked like a standard Jetta but has the 2.0t?

There were 3 types of mkv jetta wolfsburg editions all which could have different combinations of votex pieces. First and second type had a chrome shield

Nice build thread. I like where this is going though

BTW want a gli grill?? I want your wolfsburg grill! And you need some coilovers? I got a set for sale without rear shocks cause i'm using them in my current setup. FK streetlines less than 5000 miles on them still have the slightly used strut bearings for the front with them. (replaced them when I installed the coilovers) Asking 375ish for them. Everything is in good condition And I'm from the lakeland area so to a local vw

i actually kinda like my current shield and grills, if anything i may do R-line fogs.i have been considering streetlines, but i'd rather not even mess with missing pieces when they are only 550 new.

the news update is that im thinking geting downpipe and stage 2 first and maybe some tint too lol

Have you thought about working on the rear emblem. The black looks nice, but too black. Take the emblem apart and color match the little disk behind the emblem. That would look 100x better! I like the progress so far...

I think all Wolfsburg editions were made in Mexico. Early ones 06-07 were offered with the 2.5 liter engine, while a 2.0 liter turbo Jetta non-Wolfsburg edition was offered those years. the styling was unchanged from the base Jetta except for Wolfsburg emblems and classix wheels. for 08 to 09 the 2.0T came standard on the Wolfsburg edition. then in 2010 the GLI was dropped and the Wolfsburg edition got many upgrades such as black front grills mk 6 style wheels and interior bits.

the 2.5 wolfsburg is only for 2007, and had regular 16'' bioline wheels and the base radio. 08-09 was the same as the jetta SE (premium 7, moon roof, heated leatherette) with gli running gear, but still on the same springs as the regular jetta. and just to add to what you said about the 2010 being all new interior (bluetooth and premium 8 added especially) the exterior also got 17'' portos wheels.

My wife's car must have been optioned out by the original purchaser then. She has leather, sunroof, heated seats, 17" visions, and a full votex kit. Its an 07 2.5 Wolfsburg.

That's what I meant by mk6 style wheels. Portos come standard on mk6 golf tdi's.

Also the 2010 Wolfsburgs got rcd-510 stereo (at least mine did)

Great build thread. I wish I had a turbo MKV. My 2.5 has done me good for 94K with 0 issues, I just wish the MK7 1.8TFSI's were out right now. I'm trying to wait for one I miss my 1.8T

yea, im going to replace it soon, i know it was garbage before it went on, its also why i ordered an OEM turbo to dp gasket and threw away the chinese one so that didnt have to be taken apart again.

So you meant you activated the foot well lights only when the headlight switch is on?

I think that's how mine work

Nope. 2010 control panel does not have red and blue dots. it has red and blue rectangles above the temp control but it doesn't light up
