Cheers The more I look at it in the street I want to raise the back ever so slightly(5mm or so)to match the rear arch to lip to the front size and itll give me a bit more rake to and im a big fan of rake

  10. 07-08-2012 06:01 PM #82

Measured it today after it had properly resettled from the rims of the wheels to the lips of the arches and theres been a fair bit movement in the collars since the last time I measured it. The front right was lower than the front left by 6mm which is weird as both the fronts are maxed out with the top arms sitting on the wheel wells but both the rears sat 10mm lower than the fronts. It looked okay like that with the 16s on because they were so tucked and the front ftg was still lower than the rear but I wanted to match up the arch to wheel size all round so had to raise the rear as I cant lower the front any more till I notch the rain tray

Today was pretty busy....finished work and had to go to the bank but went via my mates as ive not seen him in ages. Turns out hes bought a new toy and the opportunity was too good too miss. Hes had it for a month or so(toyota hilux-mild lift, big ol fat tyres n wheels, custom side exit updraft twin exhausr,Rover 3.5L V8 with twin bucket SU carbs, flares and various other fun stuff)but he wants to sell and wanted pics to show its 'lift' so duly obliged...couple pics I snapped

then ran to the bank then headed to my mates to help him drop it as hes had his adaptors finally skimmed. Ran into stu(the guy that painted my corrado)completely randomly and he had the works van so he mixed me up 30ml of kingfisher(pelican)as a touch up tin. Couple pics off the afters....dropped the faux harli @30fr/35rr

went home via Ian(icy)McChans foodery for some rice n curry sauce for a snack(been on the go since 6.05am....)and ran inito a couple unicorns....Icys mk3 is hard to stumble across but my brothers vento rarely gets out the drive these days :'( so grabbed the oppo again

    up at the unit.....

and built up my brothers fourth wheel as he finally received his new barrel from Image..... :-\ :banghead2: :banghead2: :banghead2: :chainsaw: :attack red x:

pic of the Harli on thursday for reference....awaiting new front smoothed fenders(rolled, euro side indicator and aerial delete)

cheers My mate and I took a trip to the 'Silverstone Classic' last weekend(1000mile roundtrip). The main attraction was a world record attempt at the most F40s in one place at one time which previously stood at 40 and they smashed that with 53 but there was soooooooo much more. Lambos off all ages shapes and sizes,Cobra's real and rep, gt40s, Lotus, Maseratis, TVR, Porsche, Caterhams, BM's, merc, Stratos', Integrales, vintage MG's, RS500 cosworths yadda yadda yadda and if the static show wasnt enough the constant track action had vintage 60's-70's touring cars with Mini's and fiat abarths racing against mustangs and rover V8s to more modern touring cars with zaxspeed mk2 escorts racing against 550 bhp rs500s against E30 M3's via super tourers up to the year 2000,vintage grand prix races, group C racers from the sauber years to old school F1 racers with 6 wheel tyrells and marches featuring amongst their era's rivals. There was loads more but suffered severe overload tbh

    couple pics

rest of pics...........its 39 pages worth btw

I feel like you European guys are obsessed with Miros. I've seen more euro B5's with Miros than anything. Car is looking sick man. Keep up the good work.

    Now you're just showin' off
Throw an Audi engineer down a hole with a ladder and he will fashion a shovel from it and tunnel his way out

Im really not lol,I literally got them because someone said 'youll never run 9.5s all round that low' and yeah I get why now due to the clearance issues but I bargained these down brand new to 500gbp(without tyres)and with them being that cheap and with the concave they have it was a no brainer to run them as temps ;0 . And I guess nobodies bothered about 50+ F40s???? What kinda car peeps do you call yourselfs lmao

Not done much to the bus at all other than piling on the miles. Still not painted as the painter is booked solid. Missed out on a B5 leather estate interior and more disconcertingly had a random drunk driver decide to park in my rear quarter and scuff the bumper and face of the right rear wheel :/

other than that just been really busy between work and my unit so no real time for car stuffs, snapped a pic or two today even though it was dirty though

in other news picked up a cheap set of RS001s for my golf so should be busy with them soon

  32. 08-18-2012 04:58 AM #104
