Kinda depressing since I just changed the direction of my aba build to go ABF with a V8 head and something like Jenveys throttles.for hoping more people post their setups.

just wondering but that looks like a hard way to still have a cis system. is there a reason you didnt just port out the intake and call it a day instead of making it like that? not downing the set up by any means im just a little confused as to the benefits of keep the vacuum plate and fuel distro
#20
i love this last thing cis +ITB's are definately my choice, and you install trigger wheel+electronic that will do perfect ignition timing, and there's nice and cheap daily racer![]()

you can't have CIS without a fuel distributor and air metering plate
that's what makes it CIS
do you mean to ask "why are you keeping CIS? why don't you just megasquirt it?"
well... why not?
it's definitely not ideal
throttle bodies rely on the ability to suck in open air in order to create power, and when i'm asking them to suck air through a plate roughly half their combined area, they're not exactly working at their prime
but I still want to do it, just because

http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...ti-Abf-Jenveys
ABF engine, standard internals except for Schrick 276 cams, Jenvey 45mm throttle bodies, Powersprint 4-2-1 stainless manifold and 63mm stainless system, Kent adjustable cam pulley, DTA S40 ecu with Zeitronix ZT-2 Lambda controller.
181 bhp and 136ftlbs on the first dyno session, I think the cam timing needs to be looked at.
