Sooo I'm thinking of selling my 87 cabby so I can dump more $$ into my GTI.. I'm really torn about selling this honestly.

I have owned this car for 2 years the PO did all the motor work and primed the bay, my intention has been to paint the bay when I did the 5 speed swap (Yea it's an automatic right now). Currently on bronze painted Le Castellets with 155/55/14 Nankings, but I have the factory Van Der Voorts with almost new Michelins as well (shown in the photos below).

The odometer doesn't work, shows 115k (typing from memory, will verify next time I go to storage location)

Per forum rules I'm going to throw a price on this of $2,400 with all parts, accessories and extra wheels/tires listed in this ad. Obviously the price is negotiable depending on what you want with the car and what you don't.

    The Good:
    Ported, polished & Cam'd
    32/36 Carb
    TT motor mounts
    Thrush header
    A/C delete
    PS delete
    JOM coils
    Upper strut brace
    Single round grill
Recaro Trophy front seats w matching Recaro fabric rear seat
New rotors, pads, drums & shoes
    4 new wheels bearings
New Nanking tires 155/55/14 (maybe 200 miles on them)
Boot cover (small tears on seam, can be easily fixed)

    The Bad
Automatic - but I have a full 5-speed swap for it with freshly rebuilt trans
Some surface rust on rear drivers wheel arch (size of half dollar, normally covered by flares)
    Horn doesn't work
Blinkers - sometimes they work sometimes they don't
Window seal on passenger side leaks in pouring rain (where window meets top)

I have tons of parts for this car that can be included in the sale depending on the price we negotiate. If you want to spend less, I can take out the Recaros and give you the ripped stock seats or not include any of the following:

Parts I have but are not installed
    TT exhaust
Full 5 speed swap w short shifter
    Fender flares (full set)
    Body side moldings (full set)
    Large duck bill
    Used manual steering rack
    ABD lower tie brace
    Antenna (fender mount)
Other stuff that I can't think of right now, but will update this when I look through the boxes in the garage

When I first got it (so tall!!)

Lower than this now with the smaller tires on it

    Bay

It's actually and abd lower tie bar not a neuspeed, the 5-speed swap also includes an abd short shifter. And if memory serves me, I believe there is also an adb rear sway bar and maybe even a front.

    No I wouldn't sell it for 1100

Yes it would pass inspection. I'm pretty sure the blinkers just need to have the plug for the bulb fixed on the drivers side, the bulb doesn't seem to seat well. I just didn't fix it before storing it for the winter.

pm me the absolute lowest price you can go. i'll see what i can throw together.. I have some random stuff that i could maybe throw in for trade to make up the difference.

if not.. no biggie.. we had to sell our 08 yaris due to some work/financial changes and are stuck driving our 2000 f250 as a DD. Last storm the front dif blew out.. so we've been without a car for 1.5 weeks waiting for the parts to get to the mechanics. lol string of bad luck.. but we have a small landscaping business and things are starting to pick back up. but we cant do anything without our truck.. so we are working part time for a friends company in portsmouth.. So i might be able to scrape some funds together to make it happen.

luckily we are coming back into our non stop work season. things are certainly looking up. we'll be getting our truck back tomorrow probably and be able to get to working again. in the mean time we are working for a different landscapin company we've become accustomed to the extreme ups and downs of running a small business that is seasonal.. this winter was just really rough only having 4 storms to plow

I'd probably try a more realistic offer.

if you were going to sell it without the the swap how much would you want for it. I am looking to get one, for a vr6 i have in my garage. This one is beautiful, i love the interior, and this car is all together clean. This would be perfect for my project, how much
    thank you

I understand, but honestly I don't want to part the car I want to sell it as is (with or without the 5 speed swap of course).

You could always buy it and part out the motor and trans I suppose.
