Rushed the bay this week & got it finished. I wanted a textured finish to hide as much as I could and get my car on the road asap I miss the sound of it so much.

Anyways on to the pics, I should of taken a bit more time in a few places but if it bothers me enough it can always be done down the road.

I have to respray my subframe this weekend and finish prepping my windshield frame for paint whenever I get to that. Also want to order a few parts before I put my engine in so hopefully I can do that within a few weeks.

Thanks, I still have a few things do to before the car is back on the road.

    - Order new tie rods, a few exhaust gaskets and the corresponding hardware, brake lines, a windshield and seal.

    - Finish the body work on the lower windshield frame and paint it.

    - Clean up engine/ trans and install everything.

I'll finish up the Rs's in between everything and order tires once the car has been on the road for awhile and all the bugs are worked out. I plan on refreshing up the faces and polishing everything 100% next winter.

I'll let you know as I plan on doing it myself, I already have a windshield but need to pick up a new seal.

Anybody have input on a windshield seal? I'm either going to get one from NashTdi or one from MK1autohaus on ebay. Any input?

So I ordered some parts from GAP on Friday and today I finished my windshield frame. Really happy with how it turned out seeing as how I have 0 auto body/paint experience. The color seems perfect so far I just want to wet sand it tomorrow and give it a final coat.

    In primer

    Wet sanded

    Paint

looking pretty good. You'll be able to tell how close the paint matches when it's all back together in the sun. It's not a very big part though so even if it's off a little it won't be very noticeable.

I just got mine resprayed as well

Parts came today! Installed some of them plus my brakes and cleaned up the front H&R ultralows.

New ball joints, tie rods, boots, different steering rack(looped), rack bushing, wheel bearings and hubs, strut mounts and bearings.

Still need to install all new exhaust gaskets to go along with my ported exhaust manifolds and stainless TT downpipe then finish putting together/cleaning motor and install it.

    Cleaned up transmission.

    Thanks for the comments everyone.

Met my goal of getting the engine in this weekend. I installed all new exhaust gaskets and hardware, TT stainless downpipe, new clutch/flywheel hardware since it had to come off to get the engine on the stand, and picked up some new rain gutter/drip rail plastic clips for re-installation. If anyone has any input on installing them it would be appreciated. On to the pics!

Man, that thing is coming along! Wish I could help ya on the drip rails, but I opted to leave mine in for the respray because I couldn't find any to replace mine with. Mine are in decent condition and I didn't want to wreck them. I've patched a couple of dry rot tear sections with Permatex rubber sealant though.

As for pics I only have a couple right now here. I've got a new wheel to put in and a couple of smaller things that I haven't taken pics of yet.

Few progress pics from today. New spark plugs installed. Cleaned up my intake manifolds. Valve cover. Corrado trans brace. 2 New axles installed.

Just waiting for payday so I can buy new brake lines, alternator which I broke yesterday , battery relocation stuff, few misc items from junkyard, and my windsheild seal.

Billy threw his fender on Kind of makes it feel more like a car again, the fenders have been off way too long.
