I need to put the rear end back together and get the car movin cuz goddamn i wanna drive it!! problem is when i pulled things apart, one snap ring got all kinds of FUBARed upon removal thanks to less than adequate tools.

I'd like to get a replacement but it is NLA in the dealership network. grrrrr NLA!!!!

    the part number is: 009 525 125, 70.3mm X 1.5mm snap ring.

do any of you syncro gurus know where I might source the appropriate part?

    many thanks!!!

locking ring or stop ring or snap ring

Did a search, found these options you can chase up on:

    bore 68, thick 1.5, Rd 2.3

    bore 68, thick 1.5, Rd 2.3

    again here

    or from a Peugeot

You should be able to find the snap ring at a good bearing shop.
Like these guys, if you were out west:

They have a store in Waterloo, ON. That may be close enough to you.

I was able to get all of the bearings and seals (except for 1 bearing and the stips) from Commercial Solutions to rebuild a G60. Good people. Very helpful.

well, turns out i've been working too hard at other things, not sleeping enough and apparently reading comprehension fails me.... i was looking at the wrong one on vagcat. it's not the 70mm one i need, it's the 37mm one. self facepalm!!!!

thanks for the links, i'll see what i can dig up. hopefully though the part still exists in the dealership network..... failing that, it looks like there's an appropriate one at mcmaster carr so i should easily be able to get it at a local fastener place.
