Thread: nitrous question

  1. 03-02-2012 11:05 AM #1
hoping maybe i could get some insight from you people running nitrous. i'm running a 75 wet shot on my vr6.. starting with a 35 for testing purposes to make sure everything is working properly. anyway its almost done and ready to be used. had a quick question tho. how many of you go back to the stock chip? i have an aftermarket one in right now and im aware nitrous+advanced timing does not mix too well. but its a smaller shot so i was thinking i might be okay with leaving it in...either way its not a big deal to swap in the stock one any info would be appreciated pic of the car for clicks

i would run the performance chip with a different spark plug IE: hotter or colder. gotta read them (search pictures on line) and see what works best for your setup

get a bottle heater. doesnt look like you have one, and its one of the most important parts of your nitrous system.

bottle warmer...and a window switch so you only spray it during certain rpm increments...i used to go thru two 10lb bottles a night on my vr6 this was with a 100 shot...use the chip id splash some 100 octane in for the just incase scenario

howd you like the 100 shot? i do have access to some 100 octance also im using a progressive controller so the spray will be controlled throughout the different rpm ranges
