Thanks. It shouldn't be to hard on a super. You have a trailing arm to work with.

Well if all goes to plan the 65 body will be ditched in favor for a 62 body.

Thanks. I'm glad this build has given inspiration to others on their builds. No go on the 62 body. To far gone for what i can afford.

I'm primarily a static guy by default and I've never seen how to do air on a bug till now. Is that the normal way the front air is done??

Normally the front is done with air shocks. My setup is something my dad and I came up with.

Well i may not be finishing this project. I have a deal I really can't refuse. I have a chance to do a straight trade for a 57 panel. The big issue is trying to get it from AZ to here.

I really appreciate that. It's not a done deal yet so as of right now the work continues.

Wow.... it has been a while since i updated this thing. No worries, the bug is still in its resting place until the holidays are over. Pretty much going in a whole new direction with the build. The pan will get completely redone (again) with all custom work going on. Stay tuned.

I figured I would go ahead an shoot out a little list of what is to come in the near future.

    WW pans
1/2" stainless steel fuel lines with custom fittings
3/16" stainless steel brake lines with AN fittings
Wilwood billet aluminum tandem master cylinder
    Wilwood 4 piston calipers
    Wilwood rotors
    Swapped to chevy 5 lug
Custom transmission to handle some power
    RLR roll cage

Some other trick touches that will only have sneak peaks to.

Excellent thread, good workmanship going in to the build!

Very interesting to see what goes in to fitting Air to a bug, didn't realise there was that much to it!

    Keep up the good work.
