I own an MK6 Jetta in Sydney and have been frequenting the Jetta VI thread in this forum.

Is it just me or are most of the popular car setups in these forums just hideous (by Australian standards)? The choice of wheels and insane lowering is driving me nuts. The rice boy look seem to be totally glorified in these forums. I feel kind of sorry for the VW brand. Not sure if it deserves to be defaced and deformed this way....

I haven't seen any modded MK6's, but anyone running stretch and poke needs to be educated. I can't wait until that fad is over.

i understand stretch but cant work out what poke is?

Is it the wheels exceeding the guards?

Yanks might have bad taste, but their women dig Aussie blokes.

So what does that tell you?

Jettas are primarily bought by old people, so it figures they don't get modded much in Australia. But judging by the mods done by the seppos, that is certainly a good thing.

I would like to see a current Jetta modded. They aren't a bad standard looking car. Needs 2 doors, though.

All I know about Jettas in Australia is the apparent likelihood of one ending up in your front yard, at 3am. That's reason enough to pass.

Yep. That seems like an LSD induced solution.

    That'd be a 4th gen Jetta, though.

    Haha!

Post that pic without the p'shop-ness? That car looks like it could be quite nicely modded (without the decals, that is.)

Body kit does give it a little something.

Yeah, thats tidy. Best colour, too. The stock car is pretty innocuous looking. They should bring on that 3 door concept.
