**UPDATE**
**STARTING & ENDING location will be Weyerhaeuser**
What is Cruise for the Cure?
Cruise for the Cure was started in 2004 as an event to dust off our VW's and get them on the open road for all to see. The day includes a 100 mile drive from Federal Way, WA to Snoqualmie Summit and back. At the end location we have Music, Food, Kids Activities, Silent Auction and historically over 300 VW's but broke 400 in 2008 and every year since.
Although started as an Aircooled event, we've been excited to see the Watercooled VW Community join us in increasing numbers each year. CFTC is more than just a Day to Cruise and hang out with fellow VW'ers. At the heart of CFTC is a Cause that needs our help. Every year we raise funds for a new local charity. Our first years benefactor was Childrens Hospital of Seattle. Our second year we choose the Evergreen Chapter for A.L.S Reserach. Third year's benefactor was the Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation. For our 4th Annual CFTC we chose Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis in honor of one of our own: Sadie Jordan. Many of us are affected on a personal level with the War in Iraq so year 5 was Fisher House. For 2009 we have chosen Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as our benefactor. Please visit CFF.org for more information. 2011 was BeTheMatch Foundation and now in 2012 we are raising money for Mary Bridge Tree House Project.
Cruise for the Cure has raised over $32,000 for local charities.
The STARTING & ENDING location this year is WEYERHAEUSER just off Hwy 18. There is more than enough room to accomadate 400+ VW's. THANK YOU WEYERHAEUSER!!!!
If you would like to volunteer or sponsor please contact Q at Q@wrapjax.com for more information.

So far all I have is the South lot @ Weyerhaeuser Corprate off Hwy 18. A few details are still being worked out but we should have a finialized map with all details shortly.
45K - That's alot of hot dogs! Kinda funny that we never end up with time to eat before these cruises and I am always so grateful for Franks being there! Here's hoping that the new owners will be as supportive & involved as Franks has always been with the community. Good luck with the sale!

Q updated the map and it looks like 7:30 staging and 8:30 departure. We will be starting at Weyerhaeuser and ending there also. We are looking to see if anyone has a hookup on porta-potties, if so pls contact Q - q@wrapjax.com or Annie - Anniehum@centurytel.net with info. We are still looking for sponsors and donated items for the raffle. I have flyers printed and available if anyone wants some to distribute just hit me up.
PT was amazing last weekend and so nice to see such a big turnout. It just goes to show that regardless of conditions that the pnw community is williing to suck it up and support a great cause.![]()

It's good to have choices. CFTC is always the first Sunday in May so keep that in mind for next year which will be the 10th annual. Regardless of which event you choose ENJOY! We had to move locations this year which prevented it from being announced sooner. It should work smoothly having the same start/end spot & the drive down 18 should be impressive with that many VW's.

Don't forget about Cinco De Mayo at Alpental May 5th!!!
We will see you guys at the pass![]()

It took me a minute to see the route on the flyer but it's really just one big loop. We are starting in the Weyerhaeuser Headquarters parking lot and will take I-5 North to Seattle to Eastbound I-90 intersection. Once on I-90 it’s a straight shot to Snoqualmie Summit where we will park for a 30 minute cool-down and enjoy the scenery. Once the megaphone announces our departure we'll head back down The Pass to Hwy 18 and end back in the Weyerhaeuser Headquarters parking lot. It's our first year at Weyerhaeuser and hopfully will be the futrue location as well.

Q really tried to keep the route as close to previous years as possible. It will be a great cruise whichever way you go. They had 3 different routes and this was the one that most ppl seemed to like. We are not opposed to changing it up next year depending on what the masses say. Suggestions/Feedback are always appreciated along with Volunteers lol. Look forward to seeing you there!![]()
