Hey guys I have a vrt Cabrio with a stock tranny from a 93 passat and have a spare tranny from a gti. I do not know the tranny codes off the top of my head but can get them when I get home . I want to install an lsd and maybe a ring and pinion swap if that will help me along. I also would like to get some drag radials too was looking at doing some diamond racing rims in a 15x8. I will not be drag racing much just want to hook up better than what it does now.

If it is a stock vr6 passat trans then they are both CCM trans codes and completely identical. 3.38 R + P

    for a turbo vr6, use the stock 3.38 r&p... = longer gears

3.94r&p = shorter gears, more burnout machine and broken parts

I use Mickey Thompson ET streets 225/50/15 drag radials on my car

3.94 r&p with 24.5s on 13s reving to 8k is good.! On street tires it burns 1st to 4th.. I tried 3.39 on my aba16v coupe and it sucked..

I have to run a 15" rim to clear my brakes I put g60 setup on my cabrio. I will just get the lsd and skip the r&p swap. what are the +/- to running a 205/50/15 or 225\50/15. Is there a better choice that will still fit under my stock fenders I remember seeing a mk3 running 17x8 with drag radials on here.
