go for it...
My last setup on my VW Golf TDI was also a compound turbo charging. 300hp from a 1.9 diesel with stock internals.
Just share the pictures and evolution of the project.

Ok for all you nay sayers that say a compound turbo setup is an epic fail...prepare to be prooved wrong! The block is currently being built up to handle the hopeful 500whp (Spooling at 2000rpm)this setup should produce. As far as the setup goes. everything is pretty much custom. The smaller turbo is an IHI VF39 that has been made external wastegate and dual ball bearing. The larger is a Garret 60-1 that has been tweaked here and there to ensure I reach my 500whp goal (on pump gas). My exhaust manifold is a custom Tubular exhaust mani made by Fast Times Motorsports, who is doing my complete build. I am running an Integrated engineering AEB head, port and polished 4mm over and port matched to my SEM intake mani w/80mm TB. My fuel set up is a custom made fuel rail w/ID1000cc injuectors, 4bar FPR, and an 044 drop in fuel pump with custom pick up. Im running a custom FMIC with full SS pipeing, powder coated black. Everything is either powder coated or ceramic coated to include my engine internals. This setup is going to double as a daily driver so every precaution is being taken to make sure the car will hold up to the punishment im going to be putting it through on a daily basisNo picutes yet as there really isnt much to see except for a lot of pretty black powder coated parts (tubos look sick). As soon as the block and head come back i will post some picutres of everything going in.

Ill be sure to. There are 2 supra motors being built in front of mine so the wait is killing me, but im sure it will be worth it.

Ok I haven't been updating this cause I made a new thread in the Mk1 forum. Didn't realize that I posted in the wrong one till it was too late. I'll update now just incase anyone is interested.
Got the motor back and installed with powder coated valve cover and SEM intake mani
Turbos came back from welding and powder coat and look amazing

Mounted the IC and started to fab the piping, all stainless
Custom making a header to wrap around the motor, looks pretty rough at the moment
Thats pretty much it for now. We have changed the layout of the setup. Now both turbos will be mounted on the driver side of the motor with the battery moved to the trunk. The header will wrap around the motor to the small turbo so this will be a pretty unique setup. Ill pop in and update when I get a little further along.
