See if there's a crack on the coil pack and if there is try to dry it out with a hair dryer. then jb weld cracks until you can get a new coil pack or get msd

Yeah I didn't take it out yet to look at it. I was too depressed yesterday. ^^ sounds like a good idea for a temporary fix. Right now I'm looking into 2 options 1st option is the most simple and most expensive, just buy a new coil. 2nd option I'm looking into is this ford coil pack modification. This option would be a lil more work but much cheaper.

I went with msd so I can just change individual sets when they explode. I was also looking for a larger spark. GNX work too with little mod. it was about 30 for the coil pack when I tried them but my barcket didn't fit for them

the GNX sounds a lil similar to the ford coilpack conversion. you would have to modify the bracket. I just looked into MSD and that is a lil more than I'm looking to spend right now. I just ordered the new coilpack and the rest of the stuff for a tune-up It was one of the only things that I didn't do yet. It simply wasn't on my mind with all of the other things I had going on. It just simply was forgotten about, until it reminded me that it needed to be done yes well the CP will be in by Wed at the latest so i'll be ready for the weekend

Yesterday I finshed putting my rear speakers in and putting the rear panels back together. I just wanted to post some pics of the cuts that had to be made to make the speakers fit properly in the tray.

    The speakers used

    Before

    After

I really didn't want to cut and mutalate anything in this car. I just didnt see any other way of getting around this to make it to work. plus I figured you can't see it when it's all put back together so I just got er done.

After that I finally went and replaced all of my fuses. I had 3 of the old brittle fuses break in half when I pulled them out and at least 2 of the fuses were fried. aftrer they were all replaced guess what started working MY FOG LIGHTS yay!!! So now the only lights that are not working properly on my car are the driver side parking light and the dome light when the door opens. lil by lil i'm getting er done

The headlights are regular NA lights that were taking apart and painted the reflector to make them look like that. It is a pita to take the headlights apart. The fogs I bought off a member here on vortex they come up time to time in the classifieds. Or sometimes Zeblor can get the fogs he is also the guy I bought the turns from (brand new)

Thanks for the compliment as on the first page of this thread they are Tk modded headlights I thought of the idea and thought it would be pretty cool and something nobody else has. So I went with it. Most people say they don't like it, but I have gotten plenty of good compliments on them on my PAcorrado fb group. I like them a lot and will be sticking with them for a lil while.

This ^ I did it. its easy. still putting my car back together but this is a more reliable, cheaper, stronger sparking system. Not to mention the fact that you dont have to hack up your harness. I believe if you use the 2003 version you dont need to have special wires. Thats what ive done.

^^ I ended up taking the easy way out for now. Just installed a new coil pack and fresh plugs and wires. Fires up like a champ now it did sound pretty awesome though running on 5 cyl

After that I washed it up and my brother buffed it out for me. It really needed a BJ pretty bad. So shiny now. I took some pics before I parked her for the night. I'll post em a lil later. Bye for now

    Edit: (for red Bosch wires) part# 357 998 031A

Well it was a nice weekend with some pretty nice weather, so I had the rado out and about all weekend everything seems to be good and running strong. Keeping my fingers crossed that I have no unexpected problems anytime soon cause money has been tight lately I'm in the middle for saving up for some spacers so I can run my Rs's soon.

The first day I had the rado out I drove out to our local Walmart and parked out deep in the parking lot so no one would park next to me and when I come out there is a fellow dubber checking it out he I driving at 97 gti DE found out he had a couple rado's a lil while ago and he is also a vortexer. On here he is coraddofuher. A real good guy he is. I will be keeping in touch with him hopefully soon for some gtg's after I pooled out of Walmart I had some mk4 vr6 jetta behind me wanting to race lol. Needless to say he pulled away from me and I have no excuses besides I need to do some motor work..... Hopefully this winter. I'm not sure if the mk4 was a 12v or not but either way I want mor power

Then when I would look at it I would remember that when I install that grill I was supposed to send you some pics of what it looked like. haha thats what happended the other day and I figured I'd email you since I wasn't sure of your member name on here. I also am trying to contact the member I bought it off of cause he wanted to see pics of it installed also. i have to try that at another time cause his in box is full. Anyways I'm glad you like the way it looks as do I, which is why it wont be forsale for a while

nothing big here but just wanted to give a minor update of something I'm getting ready to install. I had bought a mk4 .:R32 ebrake handle with gray stitching. it had a chrome button. when it arrived in the mail I noticed the chrome on the button was chipping and looked like poop. it might be hard to see but ill post the pivs anyways

So then I found a simple diy on how to take apart the handle and replace the button. http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...ver-and-Button
I ended up buying a brushed aluminum button off of ESC tuning here is how it came out

I think it looks good, but now I kinda wish I had a red stitched boot on it now intead of the gray stitched. I was thinking about trying to dye the gray to red. Any thoughts if that would work well enough? If not I'm just gonna let it be.

Other then that my car is still running strong, I just got her inspected and have been driving her every weekend and have been meeting people everywhere I go this weekend "hoping it stays nice out" I'll be taking the rado to tristate tunners meet with a couple of friends. I wonder if I'll be the only rado there. Guess I'll see

Actually it's the whole mk4 ebrake handle assembly, not just the boot

Brake arm looks nice. I recently got the New Beetle Boot and shifter in and it looks amazing. Very minimal mods albeit a bit spendy. Would match that real well...

I have a shift knob I bought off Torsten I will be using, but I'll be in the market for a matching shifter boot soon. I'm not sure which direction I'll be heading in with that yet. Still trying to decide on red or gray stitch. I was leaning towards a Redline made boot but I my options are still open. Thanks for the suggestion as for pricy I'm already in like $70 just for the ebrake handle but you gotta pay to play

you dont have to install the whole ebrake--the boot is way easier to just take off the mk4 one and put straight on the corrado. This was one of the first mods I ever did

    Post pics of final product

There is some good info wish I woulda knew that before I went out and bought the whole ebrake assembly and then the button. I'm gonna stick with what I got now though. I was wondering why yours had a black button on the handle. It woulda been easier to just ad the boot but now I'm going the full monte

Think of it this way, the Shiny button is something you see (or at least touch) every time you get into your Corrado I think the minor extra effort is warranted.

Ok. I need to see pics of the final product!!!!
I was gonna buy a full CF one of a BMW but it was gonna be highly modified to make it work. I rather have something simpler like this. So.... Pics or it didn't happen.

Thanks dude I've come across this stage where I'm slacking a lil bit now. The car is up and running and funds are low so I just want to drive and have some fun with it
