Hey guys! I've been in the passat forums for a few months now but never introduced myself or my new passat. I bought her in September for a great deal but she needed some TLC. i finally got her running and looking pretty again. Wish i took pictures of how it looked before. Here's a list of parts i already put on her:

    -New Coilpack
    -Ball Joints
-Polyurethane and R32 Control Arm Bushings
    -Inner and Outer Tierods
-Custom Exhaust (2.5" piping- Deleted Cat, some cheap autozone glasspack, borla muffler) sounds great
    -Raceland Coilovers
    - Heavy Duty Upper Strut Bearing/mounts
-Black door cards (p/o didnt finish the black interior swap, all it had was black seats, the door cards and headliner were still tan)
-Wrapped the headliner and pillars in Black Suede
And im sure im forgetting something.....

Parts I have that i need to put in the car:
    -Front Wheel Bearings
-Neuspeed Front Strut Tower Stress bar
    -Corrado Transmission Brace
    -Bfi Stage .5 motor mounts
    -Ob1 2.9 clone intake manifold

This is my first volkswagen but I've been in the scene for a few years now(i used to own a Audi a6). So far i love this Passat, the VR really makes you fall in love with this car. I'm planning on doing a lot of work to this car. So hopefully ill keep this thread busy

    thanks

How you like the racelands. cause for NYC roads they suck. I get a lot of rub cause the ride is really bouncy. Im prob going to put on something stiffer soon.

WTF nine dollars, buy a few sets!!! Once ECS is OOS, you will be able to sling them for a nice profit.

so i havent updated this recently because my car has been sitting for a while. The bolts that connect the arm that goes from the transmission mount to the transmission came loose on me and broke off
Not sure how they were loose cause ive never touched them but im guessing the previous owner is to blame for this one because he did tell me did the clutch on it 5k miles before i bought it.
Anyway the car is not really drivable so im going to be stuck taking the bus to school and work until i can find a transmission to swap in. Im probably going to do the clutch and flywheel while i have the transmission off.
    This sucks...

The mount at the back, by the firewall or the bolts on top that hold the steel brace on?

If you're talking about the two bolts that hold the brace to the transmission, its not real important. Lots of people run without the brace. If you're talking about the one on the side of the transmission at the rear of the tranny by the firewall, then you're in trouble.

Yea im talking about the one in the back that bolts up right by the axles. Im selling my rims today just to buy a transmission. Sucks being broke.
