So the dust finally settled and it's time to pick up where Mike left off.

      The car:

I can't begin to tell you how lucky I was to get this piece of Corrado history and how much fun it has been sourcing the "little things" it needs to be 100%. Parts have already begun to trickle in.

Zender spoiler is eagerly awaiting it's reunion with the car

      Got the hood latch cover

And the polishing has commenced on my 2.9l intake manifold I scored for 160.00 shipped!

Plans are to powder coat the manifold leaving the top and the top of the runners polished. Need input on what color would look best. Should I match the exterior flash red or go with contrast such as black or graphite? I am also polishing a valve cover I have t boot.

Waiting on the deck lid, trunk carpet and slc badge to arrive. Still need a few minor cosmetic pieces. Changing out the tires and buying coilovers within the next several weeks too

To be honest, I'm over polished manifolds, if I were you I'd just powdercoat the whole thing a nice OEM silver color along with valve cover.

I put an absurd amount of time into polishing my intake just to end up painting it in the end

If you polish the manifold, you must polish everything else too.

Hell, I even polished my AC line.....

Pulling up a chair, and demanding updates.

My theme is going to be very shiny and full of AN fittings

Rear hatch carpet came in today, and PS/AC Delete kit.

In negotiations on a set of new underdrive pulleys from a guy in Australia.

I should try to find the issue of european car with this corrado featured in it.
If I remember correctly it had a VMS manifold.

Intake manifold yes. I was bidding on one last week but my threshold was 1200.00 and it sold for about 1500.00. That's why I picked up the 2.9l manifold to offset my sadness

Why is PS delete ghetto? The bypass kit reduces steering by 50% unlike completely deleting it. Just eliminating the clutter in my engine bay and I've done this to every sport car I've owned.

In negotiations for a set of these bad boys. Exact wheels and same specs that were on the beast when it was featured in EC. Looks like I'm getting them for 395.00 plus shipping from Germany. Does anyone know someone in Germany that might be ale to help me if I need someone to pick them up and ship them???

Pic is for reference, wheels are much cleaner than these

I thought the latch cover went in the other way (ie. front side of the latch), no???

Also, I think I have a spare set of those roof trim end caps, let me check...

That's the right way. Back side mounting tabs are much wider then fronts and they all line up with the holes. I would love a set

My "Connections" are unable to help you at this moment. Probably because I am more than enough of a "pain in the ass" as it is.

Keep messaging the seller that you will pay for them to ship it to the US. Offer them extra to do so. Might work.

No worries bro. 1stvdub has it for 7.00

      Thanks anyways!

Update: I've officially purchased just about everything that's missing or broken with interior and exterior. Parts are trickling in today's arrival!

All I have left are sunroof motor cover which I'm going to have to settle for a new one in beige and re-spray it, windshield, dash vents, cluster screw covers and radio bezel. Buying all of this stuff new.

Ok now that the car will be 100% cosmetically soon, it's time to talk engine.

Regardless of anything I do, I am going 3.1l based on the cars history. I am not pulling my engine and rebuilding it but rather building another one.

Let's discuss the 3.1l topic. I probably will never get an ABT crankshaft so I was thinking 2.9l ABV crankshaft in an AAA block. Any other options? If this is the best way to go, what is needed to get to 3.1? Are we talking just choice of pistons?

I've done a soft search but am open to discussion.
