After my gauge face and cluster debacle I'm pissed. Just gonna powder coat the wheels black and call it a day for while with this car. You were right, the wiring behind the dash is a ****ing mess. Gonna start work on the yellow one and enjoy this car as is for a bit lol

Just get new dash harnesses, you can find them pretty cheap. Not worth messing with that disaster, your only going to worsen the headache.

You might consider a percentage of gloss black. With 100% gloss I think you lose a lot of the design of the wheel that makes it so cool because you just can't see it. I think a percentage of gloss will help those lines that you lose pop. I'm thinking 20-30%. My Work's are 10% just to give you a reference.
    Dak

I completely agree, I'm not going 100% gloss. I've strayed from my original intent on the car and now I'm heading back on course which is bring back mag status. At least the appearance anyways for now

    OMP strut brace came in

On a serious note, I need to start doing werk. Parts are piling out of control at my house.

Only thing left is Eurospec rear brake kit and billet aluminum pulleys and I will finally stop making excuses to myself and get **** done.

He are the results: power = 174.58. Torque = 183.37

Not bad for a car that just turned 20

I was very happy with how the torque held up well at higher rpms and the hp wasn't too bad either. started to slowy drop at about 4500rpms but not rapidly

Meh not much but I did touch her a little today.
Got some new skins for the e-brake handle

    Installed the Nardi knob

1st pic I've ever shown of the engine bay

Started removing things in preparation for the facelift.

Getting pretty hot out again, was hoping to have intake manifolds off, coolant and oil drained but it might wait.

Love the red stiching on the dash Can you post some more pics of it?

I also have the red stich leather gearboot and been thinking about doing the same for the e-brake

    Doin werk.

Pulled more crap out today and on the plus side, my head and lower intake manifold are port matched, and the head is ported all the way through.

Left for removal: AC compressor, crack pipe and housings, oil filter housing and both oil coolers.

She looks good like this, almost considering a SR manifold now.

A few things I'm mulling over:
    1) remove Setrab oil cooler and just use stock location
    2) pulling front end off for AC condenser removal
    3) removing stock cooling fans
    4) using an SRI instead of my euro mani

And one last thing, I noticed that the throttle cable mount differs from my 2.9 TB vs. 2.8 TB. It looks like I am going to have to source a Euro Throttle Cable down the line

With the gearing I have, it might take a week to get o 3k this is why I ask questions, I'm staying NA for now so the euro mani stays.

exactly, I don't recall you mentioning a ported head. I'm just curious to see what else I have on a side note, shouldn't I have done better than 174hp on the Dyno?

174WHP On a Tired Motor is stronger than stock. lol That with a 15% Drive Line Loss makes 200.1HP @ Crank.

So what do you think now?

Just did a bit of snooping under the valve cover this morning. Looks very clean.

Next, pull the oil pan and inspect what's above it

Down to just the block and tranny in the engine bay and coolant hoses

AC, power steering and abs are gone.

Next, drain coolant and remove everything. Got new everything waiting in the basement for install
once I clean the engine bay. Wiring is a disaster and distributor is broken, like anyone else, I've uncovered way more than I thought I had to. The overhaul is turning into a complete do over.

Have to go pick up my power washer at my old shop.
