Hey guys,
Wanted to share my project with you.
One of my best friends, Paul (big time dubber), was murdered last year. He was shot 7 times in the chest over an iPod.
Some more info on his story: Lake Chelan Mirror Article
Wenatchee World Article
After his memorial, his mother gave me his car. I've been spending a lot of time and money trying to get it restored to what he would want. His favorite color was purple and he lovvveedddd going fast.
So what better way to honor him than painting his car purple and putting in a T3/T4 Turbo'd ABA?
I'd love feedback on it.
I live in Spokane, but can travel all over Washington.
Here's a current parts list:

if you're building the car with boost in mind (lovely pistons/rods btw), may i ask why you chose a straight 268 cam instead of a g60/turbo cam with some overlap?

I went with the 268 after consulting a couple different people. TT recommended the 268 for my set up. One of my best friends (VW mechanic) also recommended it as well.
We looked into the G60 option as well.
I'm not technical enough to say "this is the exact reason why we chose the 268", but I went off of recommendation based on my T3/T4 set up.
