Keep them black
Go with a different color
#1
So just wanting to see what you guys think. Spring, Shows( Woerthersee, RustnRoll) are coming and I need to get these Borbet Type A's repainted and on the car before then. They currently are black. Jetta is polar silver. I always found the paint code amusing since the car to me looks nothing silver but more of a champagne/tan color. Just cant decide if I wanna just go re-paint them black or do a different color. Just cant decide on what other color would work nicely without getting too "sceney"let me know what ya think.

What about color matching the centers to the car, and polishing the lips?

A buddy of mine found a place down here, took the pain code to them for his MKI Jetta and they mixed it right there on the spot. 60 euro for 1 quart w/ clear coat. The color match was amazing!
I was gonna say just color match them, but color match with polished lip would be effin amazing! You want me to get you a price for blasting and painting the centers? Polishing would be all you! I am sure it would be better to have them polished first, that way once the paint is laid, they can be cleared together. Let me know man!

Start with fine grit sandpaper and rub rubrub rubrub rubrub rubrub rubrub rubrub rubrub rubrub rub until your fingers fall off, and then go to a finer grit, and then finer, and then finer, and then finer, and then end up with a polishing cloth and compound.
At least, that's how my Z's valve cover and intake went. They were complex shapes and pretty rough cast. Wheels should be easier.![]()
