SOO i picked up a 86 GTI for ...its mostly stripped but alot of stuff was in the car( def not everything...
This is the first pic...minus i had to put some extra wheels i had on it

Got most of the holes filled up welded up and 1st coat of duraglass No bondo (absorbs water) on this car....
Welded backing steel on the back..Then filled with fiberglass filler..in not goin for show car but its gonna be one hell of a daily

got most of the engine bay cleaned up and ready for primer...i will get the little small imperfections out when i do the 2nd coat of primer its been sitting for years bare metal so i had to do alot of stripping and cleaning to get it thus far..

if you noticed in the other pics i had to do the windshield frame it had a 3 small pin wholes..alot of pitting and again PO left it pare metal
dumbass

Got plenty choices for a 16v interior...black pleather with red stripe
Dash and my back seats...fronts i have a set of black leather corrado's that match perfectly

took some extra time out to bring my jetta 16v gli back from the dead!! shes up and running..hell i might even put a tag on her for old times and take it for a few rides again
ill be back on the gti build in a few....ps the jetta is getting paint in a month or so and its gonna be up for sale...any takers?

im gonna sell this project as is..anyone interested i have a nice interior...pretty much most of the body work is done just little minor stuff left and ready for paint i have all the wiring and an engine and tranny if interested....
