I'm the original owner (since about 92-93). I'd say condition is 8/10. There are a few scratches on the heatsink fins from decades of use, but it is in full 100% working condition (I'm currently using it to run a single 8" sub in my daily). It has ALL the original terminal screws which is kind of rare for these amps.

It's rated at 50x2 or 200x1 but if you know these at all, they were VERY underrated. Car Audio magazine reviewed it in 1992 and tested it at 80x2 and 300x1. This amp WILL NOT do 2-ohm mono (you will blow the internal fuse) but I doubt you'll need to. It's got boat-loads of oomph. It also does NOT have any internal crossovers of any kind.

Because they're hard to find in this condition I'm asking $200 OBO + shipping.

Will also POSSIBLY entertain trades for a DECENT 4-channel amp. I'm not interested in Kenwood, Pioneer, Profile, Pyramid, Legacy, etc... Hopefully you get the idea. Thanks for looking!

I know this is my first post and I registered just to respond to your sale ad (I found it GSing)

However I'm very knowledgeable on the vintage PG gear and...

Due to the age of this amplifier and the fact that the capacitors have never been replaced its a ticking fire bomb waiting to happen if you continue to use this in your vehicle. In its current state the caps could currently be leaking acid onto the gold plated pcb damaging it beyond repair. This could cause the amp to set itself on fire without any warning, please take caution.

Considering its color, condition and the fact that you know the history it's a fine example, not prefect, but a 8.5/10.0
The only problem is the average cost to replace the caps is $150.00 by an authorized PG technician. If you plan to execute this yourself it can cost about $30.00 for parts alone, plus 4 hours labor time...obviously this adds up.

If your willing to adjust your pricing I may be able to take it off your hands or find someone who will.

    Regards

I actually still have this. I took the bottom plate off and inspected everything and it all looks 100% despite what the above post suggests. I can take pics if needed. I'm selling the car that this is currently in and won't need/use it any more.

    $100 + shipping.
