I have a receipt from the previous owner showing where Turbo and Diesel Injection of Indianapolis rebuilt the pump when the vehicle had 218,000 Miles. Along with a few other repairs, this job cost $1400. Just a few hundred miles afterward a brand new cylinder head with internals was imported from Spain and installed $1000. This vehicle has gone through a previous refurbishment. The strut towers were repaired and a new paint job was complete. This truck starts, runs, and drives down the road well. Brakes are a bit mushy even after a new master cylinder and replacement of some brake lines- could need some additional bleeding of the system. Unfortunately the underside is showing signs of rust damage with the worst section being the lower end of the fire wall on the driver’s side near the rear mount of the driver’s side control arm. Currently the mount supports the weight of the vehicle and (as seen in the pics) can support lifting the vehicle off the ground. The pass side of the truck shows damage where the previous owner took out a highway sign during some slick winter weather.

5000 miles since refurbishment. Truck was converted from Normally aspirated Diesel to a Solid Lifter Turbo Diesel. New steering rack, tie rods, boots, control arm bushings, ball joints, strut cartridges, strut mounts and bushings. GTI anti-sway bar installed along with GTI lower front spoiler/air dam. Exhaust was converted to accept turbo diesel exhaust manifold and glass pack muffler was installed. New Shift bushings, motor mounts, radiator, engine seals, gaskets, main and rod bearings. Piston rings. Cylinder head was machined and turbo refreshed. VW coolant assisted oil cooler was installed along with new coolant hoses. Hella H4 headlight lens conversion. Unfortunately the fuel pump sprocket came loose and the engine lost time and destroyed the cylinder head. The underside of the tan truck is MUCH MORE SOLID THAN THE WHITE TRUCK. Strut towers are still solid.
