What a Thursday morning....

I just picked her up this year on Jan 10th with only 49k on the clock. Had to get my hands on her cuz of the awesome condition the car was in and the situation I was in with my Vrt and emissions up here in CO.

But Thursday morning on the way to work stopped and sat at a red light for at least 10 seconds before a 74 yr old lady decided to not stop.....


I couldn't believe it , I didn't even get to put plates on her and I had to watch her be put on the death bed

I've got my fingers crossed that the ****ty insurance company doesn't total her....

It's a crappy situation , her insurance company is a Texas company which they a just complete dicks. Currently they inspected it and it's "repairable". Which first they were going to total it but they were low balling me thinking it was just a everyday GTi but after a brutal one sided argument with them on the phone , now they got it though their head that it's a 20th. On the bright side of things , I've pulled my Vrt out and been having a blast driving it around.

Idk if I could ever go black again , current Mk3 is black and my pervious Mk3 was black and it's just a tough color to keep clean. If they do total it I'll probly make the Mk3 the daily again for awhile.

But I still have faith they won't total it.

Did you pay cash for it??? If so, let them total It and buy it back. Doubt the salvage cost would be more then $2500. From what I see, no more then 3k to fix that if you do some of the work. Labor is gonna be 50-60 percent of the insurance estimate.

She drives great , the shop that did the work is Fix Auto Aurora on 38th and Chambers.
