Absolutely incredible episode. God damn this show is awesome. The dialogue between Varys and Tyrion is great and so is Tyrion and Bronn. The Hound was like "**** this."

Great episode, I am very satisfied how it all played out. Loved the parts with Cersei and Sansa. I also feel like I received an anatomy lesson during the battle![]()

No, it wasn't as clear to me in the show, but I think that he leaned back as the blow came down and it only cut him across the face.
In the book, this scene happened aboard a boat that was on fire and sinking. The entire scene on the river was a melee. Something happened that rocked the boat (explosion, I think) as the sword came across and the strike missed him. The part with Podrick saving his life happened the same.

When I read the book, I always envisioned that battle taking place during the day. I'm glad they filmed it at night since that wildfire looked fantastic as night.![]()

Ser Mandon Moore, a member of the Kingsguard who was first mentioned last episode. A throwaway bit character, really, but it hints that he's taking his orders from someone more important. When Joffrey left, he ordered him to stay and "represent the King on the battlefield."

the battle confused me a little.. so when Tyrion uses the tunnels to get the enemies attacking the walls from behind, he see's a large army running towards him and he says "Oh sh!t". Was that Stannis' army?
And then when Tywin Lannister busts through the royal chamber and says "We've won", a younger curly haired soldier comes in before him... Was this Loras Tyrell by any chance (Renly Baratheon's lover who seeks to vengenance on Stannis)???

Pretty much, yes to all. It happened very fast and was supposed to be the twist.
By sending Myrcella (Cersei's young daughter) off to the Tyrell's, he gained their allegiance. They met up with Tywin on the way to Kings Landing and flanked Stannis' heretofore superior force.
Mellisandre was not allowed to be part of the attack because Davos convinced Renly that everyone would credit her with the victory and not him.

We saw his son (Davos', not Stannis') get disintegrated by the wildfyre, but not sure about Davos. Not looking good when your whole ship goes kaboom.
Myrcella was sent to Dorne, ruled by House Martell, not House Tyrell. Littlefinger was clearly hatching something with the Tyrells after Renly's death, but they've kept us in the dark until now for the twist.

That episode was a thing of beauty.
"The very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. Instead of altering their views to fit the facts, they alter the facts to fit their views...which can be very uncomfortable if you happen to be one of the facts that needs altering."

Doh, damn! Martell, Tyrell.... I confused the two. I don't think it gives anything else away to mention that in the books Tyrion sent Littefinger to the Tyrells to negotiate their truce. I won't say, now that I have the houses straight, what is in it for House Tyrell. That would be a giveaway.![]()

In the episode before the last they Joffrey was 17. I thought he was more like 12.
As for the battle scene, it was OK I guess. I expected more like something from Bravehart.
They had the "enemy at the gates" and they are throwing rocks at them. How about throwing down some of the dragon piss napalm on them?
I did like Tyrion's "Those are brave men knocking on our door. Lets go kill them" speech. The men sitting around drinking and singing was good too.

In the books everyone is much younger, but the show has everyone a bit older. Hell, Robb Stark is only supposed to be about 15 and he's leading armies and winning battles.
If they dropped the wyldefire down on Stannis' men, they could burn their own walls down.
