Good to see the Stark boys are alright. They're hiding in the crypt of the Stark family right?
I can't believe there's just 2 episodes left. The season seems so short since there's never a dull moment on the show. Still, can't wait for next week's episode.

I missed that, but good. They're about to get into some cool stuff and I didn't want it all saved for season 3.

Jaqen H'ghar is THE man. The last name happened like it did in the book (pretty close anyway). My favorite character if only for his dialogue.

The next episode preview looks really good. I've been looking forward to this all season, so it better not let down
On the optimistic side, supposedly GRRM wrote the next episode![]()

As I continue to watch, I'm becoming more convinced that the deviations from the original are going to tie back to the correct conclusions. As others mentioned earlier, it looks like the writers and producers are consolidating story lines and characters to fit within the season. It looks like the right things are going to happen with the Half Hand, and Daenerys in the House of the Undying, too. Will be interesting to see how that shows up on screen.
NPR did a pretty good interview with Peter Dinklage last night.

Yes it seems that way to me too.
The Lannisters are the most entertaining characters on TV. Tyrion and Tywin are the BOSSES and I can't wait to see Jaime have more screen time. I hate Cersei and Joffrey with a passion (but that's how they're written so it's ok).
I like the Starks and all but they're a bit too herpy-derpy good guys to fit in that dark universe.

Agreed. Tywin is endearing and charismatic in the show. He's very hard to hate.

I don't yet know what the point of the changes are either (hoping for the best), but I agree that I've loved the additional Tywin screen time
Tyrion and Varys in the last episode have a great dynamic too. The sheer wit from putting any of the series' clever characters in the same room is always gold.
I also found out some good news with regards to previous postings on how 10 episodes is so little to cover all the material. Apparently straight from GRRM's mouth, Season 3 is only going to cover a little more than half of the 3rd book. More screen time for certain characters before they die (NO SPOILERS!) and more time to work in all the storylines with more depth is going to be great![]()

So, I'm confused then. Will season three conclude the third book by dealing with it's second half? Seems so since much of this season's story arc involved the events of the second book.

It's just great news to me that they'll spread the story out more. It also buys GRRM more time to write the remaining novels, of course, which is probably why he's pushing for it![]()

Wow...
I'm wondering how many seasons they're going to have?!?!?
#227
He's planning on seven books? So the last two will be finished by 2025 or so?
I have one chapter left in the 4th (have read all of them since January) and I'm waiting fort he 5th to come out in paperback (late August)... I'm going to have to read all of them again by the time the last two come out!
It will be very interesting to see how they approach Season 3.![]()

Nothing wrong with the show discussion as it's been going, imo. Carry on, carry on.
Only two days till the battle!! I'm really excited for this one.

The battle was pretty good. I envisioned something a little grander. Long range shots with thousands of men crossing the river or coming over the crest on horses, etc. Everything looked like it was happening within the same 50' radius right there at the gate. Still, the action was pretty bad ass. The wyldfire scene was a spectacle, even without the chain.
Looking forward to the finale with Snow and the Half Hand, and Daenyrs' walk through the House of the Undying.

Awesome episode! Great moments for Bronn, Tyrion, and PODRICK!!!
GRRM should write all the episodes. I loved the dialogue focus, "The Rains of Castamere" and other songs, the prayers and talk of the different religions...
I know he can't do it all, but I thought it was really good. Any and all alterations I accepted for the spectacle of wildfyre blowing **** up![]()

What an EPIC episode! I have never enjoyed a tv series this much before. HBO did a phenomenal job! The Hound scenes were amazing, they brought his true character to light. That song during the ending credits...what an epic way to end the episode!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
