Can someone explain what the trigger wire does exactly? Most of my old cars have been plug-n-play when it comes to headlight switches...

Also, does anyone here have one? And how do you like them?

IIRC it's for the rear fog on LED tails. If you didn't see on Friday night when I reverse parked the drivers side reverse light was red compared to the passengers which was white. The wire triggers the fog while driving.

The wire also allows you to disable DRLs. It's a realtively easy install, just takes a little time. ECS put together a great write up for it:
