Built a couple cars in the past few years but I figured to share my enjoyment with a thread so here we go.

    1995 GTI with 133K

Bought the car on 2-25-12 and started work on 2-29-12.

What came with the car is a set of stock wheels with some summer tires, set of winter tires and wheels, core OBD2 motor and a set of party seats.

    -probs. with the car

    RUST
    bad front struts
    all 4 wheel bearings
    starter
    ABS speed sensors
    both fogs lights
    pass side headlight
    brakes
    missing top rocker moldings
and a few little things that you always find.

    Car

so more work / parts / presents / updates

I got the engine bay done as far as I'm going to go on it.

I also got the right rear wheel arch knocked down and cleaned up. I just wanted to put the rust in check in this area since I'm gonna roll the fenders / quarters and toss the flares on.

Spare engine crossmemeber and sway bar that I got. I'm thinking I'm gonna get it sandblasted and painted or powdercoated.

So the welded skid plate on the oil pan didn't work out since the pan got too hot from the welding and shrunk the pan. I got @ a 1/4 of an inch to go and it hits the pump so I'm trashing that idea and got a used Mason Tech skid plate that I scooped up from a friend.

I love WI we don't have to worry about emissions on older cars

    and more parts

I'm thinking about it that's why I went to OBD2 but I would 1st have to sell this though

I did buy this car to replace the S but I dunno what I'm gonna do yet.

These hard mounts are really slowing this build up

Anyone got some new ones of these that they are willing to sell to keep this moving forward?

well its been a slow couple days here for me but I do have some updates.

I did get a ODB2 automatic harness so I've been on the hunt for a manual one but I should have one later today that a friend and I are gonna trade for my OBD1 that was in the car.

Waiting on the poly hard mounts that are STILL on back order. this is really the only thing slowing me down at this point and it is getting frustrating!

I got the K-frame sand blastblasted

I ditched the sway bar since the ones that I have are pretty worn out so I bought a new one from VW

I did get a few new things for the car this last few days though.

    g60 trans mount

    camber bolts

    and exhaust

I didn't want to do another build in my garage again and have to park outside all summer again.

I sandblasted my subframe and have been really happy with how it turned out. It does let you get into the corners and crannies.
