Doesn't look bad in white. But not sure about the nose. I almost didn't see it parked next to a Jetta. CC Sport plus according to sheet.

imho...the new nose does not do it for me. The CC used to be kind of a car apart from the stable...now it just looks like a lower rounder Passat![]()

The side and back look good. But the front end. Something just isn't right.

Interesting that they are using the R-Line wheels (Mallory) on the standard car. I wonder what they are going to use on the forthcoming R-Line.
#9
Agreed. I think the 2012 CC's front is justWhat the hell Volkswagen!
The rear end on the other hand I like. Although I do love my 4 rings of red much better. I like how they put the rear reflectors in the diffuser instead of the actual painted part of the bumper.
By the way...Is the rear a euro bumper?

Hey stop taking pics of cars on my lot!!Nah just kidding. I'm the Sales manager here at crestmont and was laughing when I saw the pics.
I'm okay with the refresh (still getting used to it). I def do not like the giant VW emblem in the front and that hood notch though.
Also the the R-line wheels aren't on the base model sport. The package we have with those wheels is what's now called the cc sport plus package.
If any of you guys are local and would like to come check it out yourselves you are more than welcome to pop in. We are a mod friendly dealer and love checking out our customers and enthusiasts cars. We are all VW nuts ourselves.

VW sure did a good job in taking all the class out of the new CC![]()

wow you really think it's that bad? I mean it's only a front bumper change for the most part. It def looks better in person though I will say that.
Also the 5th seat being added is a major plus! You'd be amazed how many people passed on the last one because of the lack of middle seat.
#15
Yeah, might as well just buy a passat or jetta. To me theres no eye grabber there. The older style CCs had a better shape design over all. This just looks like a car thats trying to blend in with every other car on the road.
Reason I bought my CC was because it got your attention and looked like a higher end luxury car. People ask me about the car all the time because of the body lines.
As far as no middle seat, I love it. I hate when people have to ride in the middle of the seat. But thats just my preference. If you wanna car pool buy a mini van

Once again, Imo, HATE the front of the '13 CC's.
It just does not fit the rest of the car. This is the first pic of the rear that I saw in Candy White, and it looks o.k. to me.
But hellaglad I got a 2012

I wonder if those headlights are swappable. If so then a lot of CC owners will get their headlights stolen. I still remember when 2002-2003 Maxima headlights were a big deal and if you left your car (in nyc of course) parked in the street over night, your lights would be stolen. I was once a victim haha.

You're right, not quite as bad in white. Still a good looking car, but I still prefer 2009-2012 though.
They will come back, 10-20 years from now with some anniversary version that will look like the original model :-) For a premium of course, you know Wolfsburg edition or something.

It's the same damn car as the last gen.
Unless they do something more substantial, buyers will see right through it and buy certified or skip it altogether.
In that sense, this "new model" may signal the death of it.

There will always be buyers who want to own the latest model so I think these will sell just much as the "1st" gen.

Yeah and no dealer with any sense will deny that. It's not being called a redesign, it's a mid cycle refresh. Knowing VW they are already at work redesigning this car.
But as many have stated the body lines are great on the car and I truly believe that VW is not sure where to take the design next.
#23
I've owned two VWs, and my third will be the 2013 CC. Different strokes for different folks. I'm also one of those people who didn't enjoy the previous facelift of the Jetta/Passat that began around 2005.
side note: My freaking dealer still hasn't received their shipment. YARRRGH.![]()

And I think that's what VW is counting on. People who 2 years ago leased a Honda or Comry and may have no gone CC due to the 4 seater. But now they can get 5 seats (no idea for what), and a 'refreshed' CC. I just hope the next CC doesn't go off the rails like the CLS did. MB ruined that car.
#27
The latest model CC is still considered the 1st Generation.
Volkswagen has not introduced a 2nd Generation CC, yet.
When and if they do, you will see completely new styling and engineering.
I do not subscribe to the theory, "If it isn't broke, don't fix it".

Obviously those involved with the redesign looked at that grill at a totally different angle. It just sucks the life right out of the car!!!! SUX
You know...if work was "FUN" it wouldn`t be called "WORK" now would it?

Who ever at Vw is designing wheels should get smacked in the back of the head.. As the years go by they keep getting more and more obnoxious and gross! My eyes are hurting god damnit, stop the madness¡!

I am confident the new front end will grow on people, but it will take time.
To me the KEY problem with the 2013 is it's less car for more. On 2.0T you can no longer get wood trim, RNS-510, or Interlagos wheels...those are all now reserved for V6. Yes you get xenons standard but those were included on high-trim 2.0Ts previously anyway. Plus the base price is higher and they will deal less on them. Yes this is to be expected - prices firm when demand is high and supply is low. It is no wonder all the 2012 Lux Limiteds in inventory have disappeared quickly, because the new 2.0T "Lux" trim is a step down.

No offense intended. Its just the VR6 has some inherent inefficiencies to deal with because of the narrow angle (valve angles, intake runners, etc). Plus, no DSG tranny.
I just see the CC from a slightly different angle than most. I see it as a somewhat more sophisticated GTI, and for me, that is what it is, especially when considering it against the things I would cross shop it with (Acura TL, Audi A4, BMW's, MB's.) For me it is a relatively inexpensive great looking car that is a blast to drive because of its fantastic, lightweight, and fuel efficient drive-line. When they put the 6 and slushbox in it, it becomes a genuine (if somewhat ill equipped) competitor to those luxury cars and it loses it fun to drive econobox nature.
I just want more power (like the Golf-R) and all wheel drive (Like the Golf-R). I don't think I'd ever buy anything else if they made that.
The closest thing I know of that is manufactured today is the Audi A7. Looks, DI forced induction, dual clutch, and all wheel drive. That car is on my radar.Unfortunately the appealing "inexpensive" part goes right out the window with that one.
