Thread: 1.8t autocross insight needed

  1. 03-13-2012 06:21 PM #1
i cracked a coolent fitting early early on my last event and i would have been stranded w/o autozones generic parts. im gonna replace the fitting this weekend along with my thermostat and flushing the system.

who else runs into these sorts of problems autocrossing? what should i try to replace before it fails? does "water wetter" actually work? any suggestions or past experiances are appreciated.

Which coolant fitting in particular did you crack?

Water wetter, is not recommended when mixed w/ G12. The two fluids do not combine properly.
