bought an 03 jetta 1.8t gls with 115k with a new motor in it with like 90k or suttin on it couldnt get a straight answer. well i got it drove it home had to drive it back cause a Y fitting for the coolant hada bad seam and was pissing coolant. got that rigged with a T fitting til friday if i still have the car by then. so after they fixed i drove for maybe half hour to an hour and the CEL comes on. and in 5th gear on the highway at 2500rpm just cruisin it starts feeling like im letting on and off the gas but im not and then when i get to where im going and let it idle the car is cutting out and barely staying on. we look at it cant figure anything out.let my cousin drive it back home cause he has more experience with cars and the car starts dying at stop signs and red lgiht and wont stay on unless you keep rev-ing it. my concerns are that why did they have to change the motor at 115k and wonder if they clear the codes and inspected it b4 i come drive it long enough for it to come back on... i mean i dont get it the motor and everything look almost new and its just dying for no reason. very frustrated. what do you guys think??
