Whats so funny??? People think I own a VAGcom I know how to hack cars I DONT OWN.... Every range of cars different.... the codings differnet, etc....
So if you want your "insert mod here" done on your MKV or MKVI then look up how to do it and if you screw up your car doing something then im not responsible for it

VAG-COM is a lot more powerful tool for the newer cars, when compared to the extent of mods available on the MkIII or MkIV. Since many modules are controlled through CAN and by different electronic control modules, the newer cars can be personalized through recoding the respective modules.
With the Long Coding Helper, recoding the modules on a MkV & VI are pretty straight forward. Most of the convenience features are done through the CECM (IIRC Module 9). The only one to really avoid is the Byte (18 I believe) that deals with lighting recoding. ROSS-TECH has been kind enough to put a warning note on this and any other bytes that may cause "serious" issues.
The rest is as easy as toggling through the different bytes and checking and unchecking the individual boxes accordingly.
As a safety precaution, make sure to copy and save your coding of a module to a MSWord or .TXT file before making and applying changes. This way, you can always revert back to your old coding.
Some Popular MkV/MkVI changes:
Disabling or Reconfiguring DRLs
Comfort Operation of Windows/Sunroof w/Key Fob
Disable H/L Washers (if equipped)
Disable/Reset TPMS (if equipped)
Recoding of lighting features after installing EU H/L Switch or Rear Fog Light
Disable Seat Belt Chime
Disable Clutch Interlock Icon
Various procedures can be found in the MkV and MkVI specific forums under DIYs or on the Ross-Tech homepage.
I'll try to make it out tonight, I'm no expert by any means, nor do I have a VAG-COM, but I've played a bit on the newer cars to be dangerous. I can try to offer some guidance at the user's/owner's own risk![]()

Try the below link, it outlines both CECM and Relay install for front fogs. Make sure the trigger for the fogs goes to Pin-5 on the Euro Switch. I'm pretty sure you've got the Mid Line CECM, so the Relay method is the only way to install front fog lights without upgrading your CECM.

I think I left it on UK cluster and forgot to change it back to US. You should have MPH/miles-per gallon, but clock and temp are 24hr and deg-C. Sorry about that
Where are you located? If you can make it out to the Culver/Marina In N Out tonight, I can change it back. Or I can change it next Monday, it's easy.
