RARE: European GTI interlago seat set one of 4 in the USA!

Parted out the car, seats now have matching underseat drawers and are in excelent shape (9.8:10) NEVER smoked in, NEVER eaten on, Water only car, No grease, tears or issues, No one bigger than me was able to sit in these ever! (I am 5'8" and 170lbs) . Currently setup with mk6 seat belts side for the higher resistor settings if you have issues easy to swap over your oem pieces to get them not to through a code. (this is a common issue with seat swaps).

Price is $4000.00 for front, rear, and drivers and passenger side seat trays. I will install them for you locally if you come up to get them. PS- these are not the oem US ones going here for $1000-650 in price. These seats go for $6k each for the fronts in Europe. They are tighter and deeper than USA seats. Not for someone that is USA line backer wide! PS- yes that pic is these seats not just a post photo.

Not trying to be an ass but why would i pay 4,000 for those instead or reupholstering my gti or r32 seats? Thats high for recaros. Just trying to understand.

Drawers stay with the seats.. And they are not the same as R or GTI seats, they are designed to hug you more. Besides, add cost of seats and costs to have them recovered your well over this costs. plus these are oem.. find another set for sale in the USA I dare you .

FWIW, these seats are exactly the same as the US GTI Autobahn leather seats, just with fabric covering. Bolsters/padding/etc. is the same. They're called "top sport" seats.

Amazing seats, the ultimate for people that want the support/bolstering of the top sport seats but don't like the Autobahn leather!

Bolsters and everything are exactly the same as US spec autobahn seats, but autobahn is leather covered. The seats are top sport seats. Still great seats and unique because they are plaid covered, not normally available in the US.

Sir, you can easily tell by the pictures. The Autobahn seats are an exact match to those.

Hi OP, what you've got here is something quite original:

1) Autobahn Seats in Genuine GTI plaid (rare)

2) Flat, Autobhan/GLI headrests covered in fabric, not leather (also rare)


3) Headrests that DON'T force your head forward (US Headrests from '09 and up all lean forward, and tilt CANNOT be adjusted!)

4) They are rare AND they are OEM (a combination that generally garners trophies at organized VW meetups).

Personally, I own a 2010 Golf TDI, and HATE the forward leaning headrests. I ended up having to buy a set of 2008 GLI leather headrests (they are identical to the one's in the OP's pics, except they are leather, and say GLI). I then had them professionally re-upholstered to match my TDI's cloth interior.
Expensive, maybe, but I'm much happier with my car than I was before.

I guess if someone wants to pay you $4000 for for these seats because of the above 4 reasons, well God bless him. If the seats are over priced, then the OP will just reduce his asking price to bear the market norm.

I'm not sure what all the big hub-bun is all about. You either care about the 4 things listed above or you don't. Everyone's different, and has different preferences, so thank goodness for VWVORTEX, where one man's treasure is another man's WTT!

Your 4 points are really 2: 1. different headrest angle, 2. top sport (US spec Autobahn) seats covered in fabric instead of leather.

The seats are awesome and unique in the US, but to say that they are more heavily bolstered/hug you more than the US GTI seats is not the truth. Yes, they are more bolstered and hug you more than the base GTI fabric seats, but they have the exact same bolstering and support that the US spec Autobahn leather seats do.
