first time it saw the sunlight after sitting for 4 years in the garage. That humming noise comes from the alternator's bearing (which has been replaced) and the lifters were a bit noisy but are back to normal again.


Hello guys, I'd like to start by giving you a little bit of background about the car. I bought the car at a dealership in El Paso, Texas back in 2003 with around 110k miles. I fell in love with it and paid $4,500. It was my daily driver from 2003 to 2006. In 2005 I had a problem with the car shutting off, after spending around $1200 in new parts (distirbutor, computer, sensors and ignition coil) I finally figured out the problem, the culprit was the ECU relay. In March of 2006 I had a small mishap when I hit a curb at around 30mph, bending the passenger side control arm and CV axle and damaging the bracket that holds the transmission to the mount. I started taking apart the damaged parts in order for the car to be on the streets again but I had a job offer from my uncle in Denver moving there on June of 2006 and leaving the Corrado inside my garage (storage shed) at my mom's house in Las Cruces NM. The car was parked from 6/2006 to 5/2010 when I began doing work on it again. My mom would start the car every once in a while so that the fuel system and engine would still work when I moved back. I started buying all new parts listed below on May of 2010 to start the "restoration". The car has been on restoration since May of 2010 until now and that's why all of the new parts haven't even seen the roads yet.

The RECARO interior and the euro goodies are out of a 1993 Canadian VR6 that I bought from a friend of mine 2 months ago. The parts listed below that have price on them don't even have more than 2 miles on them. I have receipts for everything listed below.

The Bad
Driver's side fender has to be painted.
Bodywork in the rear has to be finished Nothing bad with it, just decided to shave the emblem and the two joints on each side.
Hood has a quarter sized spot that needs to be fixed Not rusted.
No Air Conditioner. Hoses, compressor, condensor, and belt will come with car
Needs driver's side regulator. Motor is good

wow. dont know how big the vw/corrado scene is in nm but if you were in the northeast this wouldnt last a week you could easily catch 2000 for those headlights+interior alone.. awesome potential rado right there good luck, man i wouldnt sell if i were you.

Too bad this isnt on the east coast. Beautiful car with amazing interior at a very reasonable price. This is a perfect example of a good owner with some LEGIT history of the car. Not some shady operation that wants an arm and a leg liek we get in the tri state all the time.

Sorry, not trying to thread hijack, but I just wanted to commend you on this FS thread. As someone who got burned pretty bad when I bought my Corrado (which I have since parted with) I really appreciate the straight forwardness and your more than fair asking price. I'm out of the Corrado game, probably will be a for a long time, but I wish I could pick something like this up.
