Thread: 99.5 2.0l 8v Jetta Build from stock to static

    I first bought the car in July of 2010. Then it was completely stock except for the spray painted VR wheels. Then it had 135,0000 miles and didnt know much about cars and i drove it like this for a year:

    over the course of that year i had bought a AEM cold air intake and had the windows tinted:

    In the spring of 2011 i bought raceland coils and slammed my little 2.slow:

    and i bought my pride and joy:

    Drove it untill the end of last year and thats when i decided to start doing some work to the engine.
    I got rid of the vr wheels and bought 35th anniversary corvette wheels.
    Wheels being refinished:

    Dim: 17x 9.5
    Adapters: 30mm all around 5x100 converted to 5x120
    Spacers: Front 10mm ECS Tuning, Rear NONE
    Rubber: Falken 512 215/45/R17

    It was my daily up untill this fall and i put roughly 30,000miles on it.

    WINTER 2011-SPRING 2012: ODM @160,000MILES
    It was wrench time over the winter for me as i rebuilt the head on my 2.0 and alot of other mods: I am preping the engine for neuspeeds 2.0l supercharger kit. that said any for sale out ther PM me i have Montes plus cash for trade.
    Upgraded cam shaft, Autotech 270 as well as TT Dual HD Springs, valve seals and valves:

    Spark plugs, spark plug wires were all replaced:

    Took my car to the local muffler shop and had the weld me a custom 2.5" headers back exhaust with a hidden turndown tip. My exhaust is slightly visible from behind :

    Suspension was entirely redone as well as new motor mounts. i went with OEM motor mounts.
    Timing belt and cam shaft positioning sensor were replaced.
